Well, I was quite surprised with the Ivory Coast today. They played very nicely, IMO, considering that today was their FIRST appearance at the World Cup. Not to mention, they were up against a heavily competitive nation (Argentina is to soccer as America is to American football), and they performed very nicely. The goalie left a little more to be desired, but what more can you expect from an African nation ruled by civil unrest and warfare? I thought it was a noble effort. 2:1 ain't bad :pQuote:
