I still have a good amount of time to college but I have already prepared for it. I am going to go to Texas A & M in College Station, near Houston. It is the only vet school in Texas so that is where I will be going. I don't know if I want to be a specialist in one particular thing (ie: specialty in farm animals, reptiles etc). Still got a lot of planning to do.
:) Hurray another Texas PT'r = Yes very much know where Texas A & M is.. You go go & get that Vet Degree..Quote:

But my heart is set on being a zoologist.
I ultimately will probably end up going to Davis, but Cornell is where my heart lies :p Of course, the tuition is through the roof and I'm doubtful I can make it in, so chances are I'll go to Davis. Plus, I can drive home every weekend to see my pups!Quote:

My backups are something in the field museum, eventually curator. I mom had the best job when I was young, she researched a culture, then wrote the displays at the Field Museum. It combines my two favorite subjects; history and english, and for once, not much math!<< I hate math!!!!!!!!!!
Whatever I do I will be making adds for dogs and taking pictures on the side.
Hmm...well, I'm interested in a few things, but I'm not positive what I'm going to major in yet...time will tell. :)

Im still in school but so far I did....
2 years of a Bachelor of Science with a major in Biology
1 year of a Bachelor of Science with an undecided major
And now in the Fall Im going into Nursing!!!!!! :)

The manufacturer is really going above and beyond the FDA requirements for a vet med, which of course makes me happy!! Their feeling is that package for animals medicines should be just as safe as it is for humans ( European agencies require this, US does not). Anyway, it is easy to get off on a tangent because it is interesting!!
I got my BS in Chemistry and a PhD in Polymer Chemistry. After doing polymer science for about 16 years I switched to analytical in the pharma industry. I mainly "babysit" reactions (in-process testing is what THEY like to call it, but it's really babysitting... :p ) It's quite a change, but I love all kinds of analytical tests and instrumentation.
I have a BA in political science, which is pretty much a worthless degree. I worked for awhile, and decided I wasn't argumentative enough, so, I went on to law school, and obtained my juris doctorate (JD).
What type of law are you practicing?Quote:

I have a general practice (excluding all things domestic, juvenile), a fair amount of civil litigation, and about 10% prosecution for a local municipality. And, whatever else pays the bills...he he he.Quote:

I am one of those people that could never quite decide "what I want to be when I grow up", so I have been to university on three different occasions. I have a Bachelor of Pharmacy (yes I used to practice but not any more), a business degree (MBA), and I finally broke down and got myself a PhD looking at health outcomes (a fancy way of talking about health policy and how effective medical treatment is). But I finally found something that I enjoy doing (and the hours are a lot better than being a pharmacist ;) )
I have a Bachelor Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Florida Atlantic University. I have worked in graphics since 1993 and the for last 7 years I got involved with web design, and that's what I do now. All along I have been taking classes to keep up with technology and advance my skills. I enjoy taking classes, working my brain and meeting new people, and I start a web programming class in June.
Have a great time with your education, and learn alot!
I graduated in 1990 with a BS in Communications. My emphasis was Public Relations and Journalism.
