Corinna, oh, don't even think about tempting me!! (I will be right over)
My downfall is a doughnut! Any kind will do...............
I was driving home after dropping Slick off at the airport and I drove
right by a Krispie Kreme shop. It was so tempting to pull into that drive-through............but I was good.............and I am not proud of it either!
I must rather would have liked to have had a doughnut or two...........
Corinna - oh no! - glazed - chocolate covered - creme filled - jelly filled -
how could you?????? (hope you get the job).
Geeze - who woke her up??? :D :DQuote:

Donuts and a hot toddy by the fire after a good massage.....aaaahhhh...
Good thing I'm wrapped up here by the fire, because our heat at work finally decided to give up the ghost. It's been acting geeky since November. The boss has gotten quotes on replacing the furnace but that's as far as it's gotten. So there the quotes sit in his "in box" and here I sit in a 67 degree office - and dropping! The heat hasn't gone on since I got back from lunch. If not for my little heater under my desk - brrrrrr......<shivers as she takes another sip of hot toddy> Every now and then I have to sit on my "mouse hand" to warm it up.
Good luck, Corinna!
Gini, Sorry about that, I started talking about hot fresh donuts an she woke up.
Can I get a Large hot anything? It's time to go out and shovel, and I'm going to need a little liquid refreshment when I'm done!
donuts must be the cure all for any thing that ails you . Shure got some of the sickies more alive.
I'm sure I'll have no pproblems this time . I know what those little gems do to my blood sugars and I really only want one a year, and thats an old fashion plain no glaze. I know how boring but rather have lots of boring than fewer sweet things.
What is so funny is he wanted to do it today but i had 2loaves of Pizza bread ,2 loaves of dark pumpernickel, and a strawberry pie all going at the time . I had to laugh and explain why tomorrow would be better. Kizmet maybe?
Thanks guys I know I'll feel your good vibes tommorrow. Gosh I just can't tell you how I want this job.
It's like moosmom and the newspaper, by the way how did that go Donna?
Sick here again, too. My doctor gave me extra pills last time and told me to take them the first sign of any sore throat/cough/stuffyness/etc. Took one today.. they make me dizzy as heck!
It's kinda warm here so I'll take a BIG glass of ice water, slice of lemon too?
Simba is in the snoring choir again.
one big glass of water with lemon right here. brought some strawbeery pie I baked today .
Twenty-eight years ago, Bubba Thibodeaux, a Louisiana man from deep in the bayou, was drafted by the Army.
One his first day of boot camp, the Army issued him a toothbruch.
That afternoon, an Army dentist yanked several of his teeth.
On his second day, the Army issued him a comb.
That afternoon, an Army barber sheared his head.
On his third day, he was issued a jock strap.
The Army is still looking for Bubba..
happy Friday everyone ;)
Way to get my day started with a smile, Laurie. :D
It's a be-u-tee-ful day here. One that makes it seem like maybe spring really isn't quite so far away.
I'm up for the usual coke this morning - yep, still haven't kicked the habit.
I feel better today too. Had a nice relaxing evening last night and got some good sleep, so hopefully I'm keeping whatever the boss has at bay.
Hope everyone else's day is looking up too! :D
Laurie :D :D :D
knock knock
who's there
Anita
Anita who
Anita bath
**groan***
OK, so I'm silly today. It's just that I feel so much better than a day or two ago. It's amazing what drugs and green tea can do. ;)
Debbie, the weather is the same here. Crisp and a bit frosty but not a cloud in the sky. This morning I awoke to the sound of birdies singing so I know that Spring isn't that far off......and I'm wearing shorts today. :)
You guys should come to my work. I walked into the lunchroom and the table is full...and I mean full.....of boxes of Tim Horton's donuts. Corinna, did you make a visit in the middle of the night?? ;)
Hi to everyone else. Kay, sorry you are sick. :( LH, how's the shovelling?
I'm going to start off the day with a big mug of green tea. Thank you.
Who's Tim Horton? "Is he single" :p :D
I don't know Laurie, but I bet he is sweet as can be!!
*group grooooooan* :D ;)
:D :D :D Tim Horton may be sweet, but he can't hold a candle to Mr. Hot Toddy! ;) :D Don't you have Tim Hortons in the States? It's a donut shop something like your Krispy Kreams (or however your spell that).
It must be Friday!!! :D
Close enough, Slick. It's Krispy Kremes and the make the sweetest and best donuts and unfortunalely for me, the most sugary donuts on earth!Quote:

Mario, quit laughing at me! I can't help it that I got a bloody nose and the only way to stop it is to sit here with tissues hanging out of my nose. Good thing I have the kind of job where very few people actually see me. :o
I can't get it to stop. I've held my head back, pinched my nose and everything. Everytime I bring my head back up and unpinch/take the tissue out, it starts up again.
Ok, laugh of the day, picture me with my head tilted backwards, with a tissue coming out of one nostril, trying to read and type on PT. :D
Forget the hot toddy, I think this requires a pitcher of slushies! Don't forget the straw since it'd be kind of hard to drink with my head tilted back. :D :p
Debbie, that's doesn't sound good. Is this for real or just cyber?? You've got me worried here. :(
Catland, I know how you feel. Hang in there!
It's for real, Slick, but no need to worry. It finally stopped. Kinda freaks Terry out too when it happens at home, but this happens...ooohhh...about once a month or so. I remember it happening to my mom many years ago too, so I guess it's hereditary - along with the bad heart, the arthritis, the thyroid problems, etc..... ;)
Thanks for the box of tissues, Mario. You sure are a sweety when you're not being a snot. ;)
Ok, now, about that pitcher of slushies.....
T&P, Here's your pitcher of slushies, but virtual slushies only for you. Thins out the blood, make you bleed more (Not good).
I'm off to put on the green suit this weekend, so Mario, no tormenting Lady while I'm gone.
David, did you remember to put Orc's remote back in the L+F when you were done? Mario's smiling and orc is twitching a bit........
Hmm. Hot Toddy .... Straw-Beer-y Pie (I'm afraid to ask), bloody noses, bloody mary's, donut day here in Burlingame too. Working through my lunch hour, munching on carrots .... I need something unhealthy like maybe some onion rings and slushie to wash them down!
OK back to the spreadsheet
Oh Slick is that where i left him sorry (i think) :D I think i did good to day but he said he had a couple people who had experance and he really needed to hire some one . But he would have to train some one so I wasn't nessaraly counted out. They work 7pm to 1am so that would be ok also.
Heres a new box or two of klenex for the crowd her. I think for safty of all lets burn the tissues and make sure the germs are killed . Her Orc empty this trash can of (YUCK) used tissuses.
I made a pork and rice dish if any one is intrested.
A big OOPS on that one, LH! I'd better brave putting it back in the L&F. It's easy once you get by the flimsy rope bridge over the lava pit!!Quote:

Chicken broth & Egg Noodle soup anyone? It's about all I can eat right now because of my cold. Made a big pot of it, though, so everyone's welcome to have a bowl.
A nice virgin slushie would go down nice... where's Richard?
KayAnn, I need some of that soup right now - it sounds so good.........
I have ended up with a doozy of a cold..........must have been picnicing too hard last weekend!!
