I am so sorry to hear that Pjevs has left us. :(
May he rest in peace & comfort. Pjevs certainly deserved it.
The Pet Angels ahve greeted Pjevs and have set up a nice Meal for him.
He was a Good Cat who was truly loved by So Many People who loved him enough not to let him be in pain.
He will be a Very Good Cat Angel and travel the World with The Pet Angel Army, and will have Many Stories to tell his Friends when they are Reunited.
One Fine Day.

Pjevs, play hard in your new svelte and youthful body! We love you!
Frolic heartily at the Bridge, sweet Pjevs.

Godspeed sweet Pjeves.
I'm sorry to hear about Pjevs, but I know he lived a happy life and enjoyed being loved by so many people. Have fun at the rainbow bridge Pjeves.
Randi, I'm so sorry that Pjevs' paws turned out to be as bad as you feared. What a wonderful boy he was. I had never seen that picture of him waiting for a tummy rub before. It is adorable!
Be happy at the Bridge, sweetheart. We will miss you here. :(
I'm so sorry Randi.
Rest in Peace sweet Pjevs.
((((Randi))))) I am so sorry to hear about Pjevs. He was blessed to be looked after you for such a long time, and he went to the RB knowing love and companionship. I know how you are feeling at the moment - I still cannot walk through my front garden without expecting Kissy to be there.
Pjevs - I know Kissy was waiting for you when you arrived at the RB - he has been there for a few months now, so I am sure he will do a great job showing you around.
((((HUGS))))
Pjevs was a very handsome fellow that captured your hearts with his style!! He was loved and cared for by so many!!! Sleep softly, sweer Pjevs....
Randi,
I'm sitting here sobbing right now because Pjev looked SOOOOO much like a feral cat, Shadow, that I fed in a drug-ridden neighborhood. He lived a long time and I miss him so.
RIP Pjev. You were a handsome boy and truly loved. Godspeed to the Bridge, dude.
Last night I dreamed about Pjevs. He was with me and Eddie and Edwina....napping between the two of them on my legs. All three wre curled up together and Edwina was washing Pjevs head.
Pjevs was loved and cossetted so much. I think of him as a rather eccentric guy who preferred the outdoor life...as long as it wasn't too far from his indoor friends.
Godspeed Pjevs.....
Ranid, I'm so very sorry. (((hugs)))
RIP and Godspeed Pjevs.
Pjevs was taken to the vet hospital sunday and put to sleep. :( I’m still in tears and can't talk on the phone. The other couple that fed him and I, took the decision that is it was best for him.
After we noticed he had problems with his front paws, I took him up in my bathroom. He ate his favourite food and I gave him the rest of the Temptations. He used the litter box - and he even jumped up on my chest of drawers himself, where I had put some soft blankets. I sat and cuddled with him and when he was relaxed enough, I tried to get a closer look at his paws. I filled the sink half full of warm water and held him carefully, dipping his paws in the water to get the dirt off. I did this a few times, letting him have a break in between. At least three nails had grown into his skin. :( I had given him one of Fister’s leftover painkillers.
Since it was weekend, all the vets were closed, so I called the vet hospital which unfortunately is quite far away, when you don’t have a car. They would also charge double at weekends, DKR 1300,- to put him to sleep.
Sunday, I rang Falck animal ambulance. They asked whether someone owned Pjevs, or if he was earmarked. I told them he wasn't and they said they'd send a car for him. They would take him to the very same hospital I had called and it would not cost anything because he was considered a wild cat. It is the same hospital where Fister got his operation, and I know they are very skilled vets and nice people, so I said yes, thank you. They came two hours later.
I could have taken him to my own vet monday, but I didn't want him to suffer for another day and also, I could not face seeing him go.
Pjevs was left in our backyard by someone who moved out before we moved in in 94. He slept in an old pram then. A few of us started him feeding him every day and have done since. We also built a house for him. He used to hang around with Fister’s mom and and a few other kitties there. The tree he used for climbing up on the roof of the dustbin shed has been cut down.
In the last few years, he was the only one left and I noticed he got smaller, that happens when a cat grow old. Also, this summer when he was fed during the day, the birds would try to steal his food, and he didn’t seem able to chase them away. :(
Pjevs was the sweetest boy anyone can imagine!
Rest in Peace my dear sweet Pjevs, you will always be in my heart and never be forgotten! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...eart-lille.jpg
I will post a few pictures of him in the next post.
