Actually Debbie, she was a lot less fluffy back then.
She had an active toddler to exercise her and a new house and yard to explore.
Here is another photo taken in the spring of 92.
She learned to stay just out of reach of my toddler son.

That is so great that your son grew up with Samantha.
Right now, of the six cats living with me (Georgia is still on extended holiday at Lillycat's house), Jonah can get close to Allie and Monte, only. Allie has NO sense at all with Jonah, and goes back for more time and again. We are working hard, non stop, on 'nice pets', and Jonah has heard me raise my voice LOUD when he pulls her tail. Everyone else stays ten steps away. At least ten steps.
Toddlers and cats- a difficult relationship at best. :D
