I asked it in the other thread too, but maybe it is better here: how on earth did you manage to let all your cats go potty???? And what did you do with your ark during the nights??
I just looked through all of your pics, what a wonderful trip. (makes me want to travel across america again). Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us.
I get a kick out of the pictures of your car, especially since I know what is inside of it too. It just looks so funny, a tiny car with a huge pile of moving stuff on top & then to think of what is inside too. :p How neat!
yuppers, am doing very well! just can't wait until I move into my own apartment (that accepts my whole ark) next week!! weehoo!
furrysmother, you're so sweet for saying that again. as said in my emails, I think you as of my dear mom too!

1] Weren’t you afraid that they would jump out when you had to stop?
2] How did you transport all of them when you had to spend the night?
3] Did you have a litter box in the car?
This must be Gina's frozen Ark...
1] well, at first I wasn't really worried because everytime I go over 50 miles anywhere (a lot), I always take at least two or three with me, they each took their turns and none of them have attempted to run out but then... I worried - all of them in, in a long, longest trip. but gave in faith and see as I trust each of them. . all the way, not one of them would point their nose outside except as said in another thread, clayton thought it was okay to jump out after I took him out to pose by nebraska sign! you can see us there in the picture. :D
2] I take three cats each time out & in, (four times total each way) into the room and back to the car. whispers knows to stay on my shoulder when I carry the three in, (the 13th). ;)
3] of course. it was behind me, on the bottom of the floor. so when a cat goes, I could smell it better, and clean it up quick at the next gas station since it's a travel (small) litterbox. :o
and that picture kinda makes me sad.. that was sitting for an hour and half at the battle creek rest area where I was crying over my little warm buttons. after that, walked crayola out to bathroom for last time, wow - all snowy!

1] as mentioned, a litterbox on the floor - they would go whenever they want to. I'm glad I had to stop at the gas station as often as needed to! :)
2] with me!! you see the picture above of all cats cuddling together...well, the caption should really say "mommy! why are you putting us in an ilgoo!?!" that pictures was taken after I walked forth/back from friend's house, putting them back in. as you can see the windows are iced inside - chilly air goes through because of the ropes tied up between the doors - deadly too cold for my ark!
this roadtrip was really a challenging adventure for me, it was so much fun, to learn and experience so many new things. this enrich experience have changed my ark too, in a very, very good way. they even get along better, adjusting the kids & would now share food so closely together..unbelievable too. wow, I have one of the proud ark!

Thank you! I think of you and worry over you as my own daughter.
You were very brave to travel all that way alone with your Ark, but I am so happy that you made it safely and that it was such a wonderful experience for you.
I just know that you will have so many good things waiting for you in this part of the country!!
That will be an experience taht You and Your Cats will remember All Thier Lives.
I just wish that I had the money to hire a Driver and take The Found Cats,on a Road Trip like that.
You must have had So Much FUN!!!!
I loved them all.You are so brave to venture out in a car with all those animals
Great photos!!! I cant believe you got all of them into your car!!
Wow!! This is amazing!!! SUPER CUTE pictures!! I love the huddled kitty patch in the back seat! CUTE! :D
Gina, I haven't been around much, can you (or someone else, if that's OK) update me as to where you went, how long you were gone for and how come all the fuzzies had to come too??
Can't wait to read more!
Hugs,
Kelly :)
P.S. I'm so sorry about your sweet rattie. :( I'll go search for what happened..so you don't have to relive it. ((hugs))
I can do that! Gina has moved, lock, stock, paw, tail and barrel EAST! She is continuing her education - and her life, in snowy, snowy, Rochester, NY. She stopped by and we had dinner together (check the Mini Meeting thread over in Meetings) on her way back from a holiday gathering in NH, when she HAD to pass through Massachusetts anyway!
Thanks, Karen!! I just found her other thread...but you did a great job! :)
How great you got to meet her!
I just love all the pictures .Girl you are so brave to do what you did. I'm glad I share you as a daughter with Furrykidsmother.
It was lots of fun! But between my lack of ASL - I know maybe three phrases and can fingerspell really slowly - and the fact that I often talked too fast for her to lipread, we covered two sheets of paper with our conversation, though it wouldn't make sense to anyone else, because there was lots that didn't make the paper, too! :)Quote:

I tried to count the ktties in one picture, but, I lost count at three! lol!
(EDIT) - Did you have any car sick kitties or puppy? I know that I would have to stop every half hour to let Jesse run around!
Congrats on your long, long, journey!
