I have Petz 2 or 3? On my Windows 95 computer :D. In it you can't breed..but..oh well, :p. Where can you buy the newer version of Dogz/Catz for PC?
I used to play petz 4 all the time, and I could also hex petz. I still have the game, but I got bored with it.
What is the URL to the petz message board you visit, Jessika? I still occationally visit one too, and talk with various friends I've made. :)
Where do you buy the petz games they sound fun???
I got mine from ebay, Dogz 4, I think it was $5 altogether.
:) :D  i got animal crossing :wild world
;)
I have both. With Dogz you get boerd easily and they say practicly the same thing everyday. Of course you can walk the dog, feed him, and give him water, and play with him, and even train him. But with Nintendogs you can do that and much more. Plus, on Nintendogs you can have more than one dog and on Dogz you can only have one. I would suggest Nintendogs.
You can have as many dogs as you want with dogz. But you can only have two out to play at once. There are 4 special places to play, an island, a circus, a western town, and a beach, but they are just backgrounds basically. You can play in several rooms in a house and make your own custom rooms. I agree it does get boring sometimes but there are endless things to do. I used to breed them all the time. I bred a basset hound to a lion and the "puppy" was just adorable. This is just one of those games though where if you are bored you might sit down and play for a bit, there's no real point to it. I actually liked dogz 1 better because the dogs seemed to have more personality and you could watch them grow, in the later games they packed so much stuff into it(toys, clothes, breeding ability, different rooms) that it seemed to me that they forgot to add the breeds personalities to the game and the fact that the dogs grow from puppies to adults is downplayed.
You also have to buy a nintendo ds for nintendogs. I really don't like the handheld game systems with their tiny tiny screens and tinier graphics. If I want to play a game I want to be able to do it without squinting. I suppose one could hook it up to the tv but I still don't get the point.
Actually with dogz there is a program someone wrote so you can have unlimited number of petz out at once, as many as your computer can handle anyway. Its amazing.
I find dogz more entertaining than nintendogs, to be honest. Sure, with nintendogs you can compete, but even THAT gets really old after awhile. With dogz you can breed and have unlimited amounts of fun with seeing the different babies and combinations you can make! Have you ever tried breeding a chihuahua to a great dane? ;)
Not only that, but with dogz you can download virtually every breed imaginable, mixed, fantasy, even wild animals. Not "official" downloads of course but fans have created their own so the possibilities are endless! :)
