Hi there,
I just got home from my trip and I'm pretty tired, so I'll be brief. Puddy is doing really well. I have her the SQ fluids before I left and she doesn't seem to be having any problems at all. She ran through the house and jumped up on the sofa; she apparently was excited to see me. My catsitter said that she was doing fine; no problems. I'll be able to tell more tomorrow, how she eats, etc. But the SQ fluids have really turned her around.
One of my cats sprayed while I was gone and that upsets me a lot. I think it's one of my males, Specs, cuz I had a problem w/him before at the old house but it hasn't been a problem since I moved here. I may have to put him back on meds for a while til he wises up. I can't have my house smelling like pee. Just can't have that.
Anyhow, I hope that things have calmed down for you a bit, Gina. I read your last post and replied to it, so I know that Star has improved somewhat. I'll write more tomorrow and I hope to see an even better update from you.
Blessings,
Mary

medusa, first - thank you, everything is okay around here.
I'm so glad puddy is being herself!! (100% yet I hope?) she will be continued in my prayers anyway, I think about her a lot lately. especially after what is happening to my star.
oh no ..specs, not when your meowmie gone trying have fun and comes back.. I'm sorry! :(
what medication would you have to give him? how long ago did you moved in? sorry for these questions, I'm trying to get a picture, hopefully to help you next.
you, hope you've caught up good sleep too! :)
(((hugs)))
..gina & star (she hopes puddy would stay by her until she feels better).

I moved in a year ago late Dec. Specs has always been a problem, marking his territory, but that calmed down when I moved in here. My oldest male, Boo, is somewhat intimidated by Specs and he takes full advantage. I put him on a low dose of amitryptilene. I don't like to do it but I will if it gives Boo peace and saves my furniture. I've been buying new furniture as I can afford it (in between cat astrophes.
Dr. Lee told me yesterday that I can give Puddy the SQ fluids every 5 days now, so we're almost to once a week, which is his goal. She's doing great, totally off meds except for the fluids.
And how is Star today? Better, I hope. :)
Blessings,
Mary

Puddy did SQ fluids every other day for a couple of weeks, then went to every 3 days for a couple, then every 4, now it's every 5. 150cc.

Forgot to mention
that I give Specs 10 mg. of amitryptilene once a day when he has a spell when I know he's sprayed or about to. I'm supposed to give it to him twice a day but it's too much. He just sleeps all day. Sometimes I give him a half pill twice a day, depending on how bad he is.

M
