Kelly here is a link for you, it might be of help for your Crohns.(it is recommended for people with IBD and IBS.
http://www.absoluteslimming.com/aloe-vera-juice.htm hope that works for you.:);)
Hmmm...is it good for ulcer type issues? My husband could really benifit from anything that helps the stomach!
Thank you, Carole! :)
Hey, Kelly...sorry it took so long to respond...I was out of the house for a bit. I see Carole posted one already, but, here's another one...Quote:

I've never tried it as a drink before but my friend picked up some aloe vera candy once at the farmers market. All I know is that it did not taste like candy at all!
Exactly what kind of Aloe Vera juice are you drinking? Is it straight? We have dozens of tiny, little bottles of Aloe Vera juice laying around the house. What can I say? We're asian. We eat and drink everything! However, the aloe juice we drink is -er- "mutilated". It's mostly grape juice, but it does have chunks of aloe floating around in it. Not very beneficial if straight aloe is what you're after, but it tastes just like white grape juice. Then, again, it's about the same as what you're doing because you're diluting it with OJ while this company dilutes it with grape juice.
Also, are you taking the powder or the liquid? I know they sell Aloe in powder form that you can mix into grape juice or OJ. Happy chugging ;)
Thanks for the link Kari.
Because it boosts immunity, I don't think I'll take it. Crohn's is autoimmune, so that would hurt me.
Hope it helps everyone else. :)
It's just plain, straight, organic aloe vera juice. Nothing's added. :) I'm getting ready to try it with oj before I leave for work today. Wish me luck. :DQuote:

That sucks. I know, just like anything else, it's not going to be good for everyone.Quote:

GROSS! :D I just cannot imagine drinking it.
And, as to your claim that it is 'natural and organic'...he he he...so is dog poop! And, you don't see me eating that, do you? LOLOL.
Good luck with the Aloe Vera. Look at it this way- you won't burn up from the inside out anyhow. :p
Kari you can take the pills instead if you find the juice just a tad unbearable.
I would imagine it would help anything to do with gastric problems, like ulcers, however I really think anyone with an ulcer needs medical treatment as well, and the juice would be an aid only.
I would never go off my medication for reflux and take the juice alone, not unless it gave me miracle results, but I am somewhat doubtful of that, but I have yet to try it and see.,however as there really is no medication for IBS it would well be worth trying for that alone.
Kelly what a pity it will be of no help to you, it did mention IBD, I had hoped that you would benefit from it as well.,that is indeed a shame, but you don't need to be making yourself worse thats for sure.
How about this...I did get conflicting reports on those links...so I'll ask my specialist next week. I'm up for ANYTHING that's natural and will make me feel better. :)
Sh**, it's probably still better for you than half the sh** they sell at McDonald's. ;)Quote:
