High speed through my cable company.
Cable....thank goodness. I won't even get on my parents computer if I am over there because they still have dial-up and I can't wait that long for it to connect. Karen, we have Fios over here too but so far only one company is offering it and it's not the one we use. Glad to know that is pretty efficient.
We currently own our Cable (faster up & down). We're hoping within 6 months to upgrade to a business Modem. its supose to be insanly fast up & down.
DSL over here, it isn't quite as fast as cable but it's enough to make me happy. Plus I don't download that much so DSL works fine for me.
We have cable NOW, but had DSL for years. I miss DSL...it was faster. Cable IS fast, but the speed fluctuates. DSL was constantly fast. I think having too many people in the neighborhood using cable causes the speed to slow down at times. DSL doesn't have that problem. We do intend to go back to DSL sometime soon.
Actually, I don't have a computer! I have what I call the "Poor man's internet" I own a web tv system. It's slow as heck, (dial up) but at least I'm on PT! It does have it's advantages. I'm able to lay on the couch with the wireless keyboard and watch the internet on my 20" regular tv set.
Cable :)
dsl
I think I have Roadrunner. Maybe that's cable but i don't know.
Cable. Wouldn't go back to dialup for a million dollars (ok, maybe 2 million)
I have Dial up, Aol which I like, but thinking of changing to dsl
next mo. My daughter and i shared a bundled account with aol and compuserve, but she is going to wireless, so I think i will go to dsl with the phone company. It works great for my cousin. So will see how it works..lol
Dial up for now, maybe cable next year, I'm in a rural area and cable is not as cheap as dial up.
I have cable. :)
I have cable and it's always fast.
We had cable for Internet Access for years, most recently they upgraded it to 6 megabits per second. It was fine, and fast - except for the times in the past year when it didn't work at all. Those times were getting annoyingly frequent.
We now have FiOS at 15 megabits per second, so far it is great, and far faster.
It costs about the same as cable.
