:( I know I would be at my wittss ends by now & have my babies loaded & gone.. I was just talking to someone from St. Petersberg & he said it was all ok & cloudy & rain to set in Saturday.. Me & the girls send whiskers prayers to all & Amber & Kate take cover & be safe & update us if you can ok..
St. Petersburd is only about a half hour from me, hopefully we stay on the safe side here!! We have been for years and years, i've been so scared that our time is up.
Getting a bad band right now. Just started pouring. Had to end our swim in the pool!
Everything's fine here! Just lots of tree branches and stuff down. Through this though, our fence came down, and I've met a girl who apparently knows who I am? LOL. She just moved into that house, and she says she knows me. :p I really have no idea who she is though but she goes to my school. Anyway, my dad is out back, chopping up the boards to the fence now, and throwing them out. The clean up has begun! ;)
Luckily we still have power. Most of the homes in Broward have been without power since last night.
Unfortunately, my grandparents who live in Homestead, got REALLY bad bands... A HUGE avocado tree fell over, another tree fell over onto my Grandpas car, and a ficus (SP?) was uprooted from the yard and landed on their shed. I thought we had it bad here, but we actually got the better of it.
Also, an overpass in Miami, collapsed. They're not sure why, because even a category 4 shouldn't have made it collapse, and this was ONLY a category 1. Im so thankful that it wasn't stronger.
Im watching the news now, and it looks like it's left Florida, but it also looks like its making a little turn at the end back towards Florida? Maybe im just seeing things, but is it possible for it to turn around after its regained strength and come back for Florida one more time? Im not sure of the projected path as I've been pretty sick of watching the news.
Anyway, back to work for me. I have to rake up leaves. :p
The current projected path takes it up into the Florida panhandle.
Well it looks like the Tampa Bay area has eeked out of this one. Good news for us, not so good for the Panhandle. :(
