Very Cute Opossum! and of course your girlies are beautiful as usual! Just remember that rabies is spread through saliva.
Flying doggies! What fun they must be to have around! And what a cute orangie visitor you have!
He just started coming. He has been though 2 nights in a row. They can be mean, yes. And they do carry rabies. This is the only one I have come across so close and that didn't run away quickly. If he showed me any signs of agression I would not have gotten so close. As it was he never hissed at me or even looked mad in anyway. He has some super sharp claws and teeth so I know he put a hurting on me if he wanted too. I believe they are in Colorado but probably not as much as here in FL.Quote:

I believe they can be called Possum's as well. The correct term is Opposum but Possum is just as acceptable. I live in FL and here we call them Possum's. :) Yes I know all about rabies. I wasn't trying to kiss him. :DQuote:

Great pictures and I got a big kick out of the first few with the pups running...lol
Congrats and keep the posts coming!
Your girls are really cute! Love the action shots! And that widdle possum - so cute! must be a young one, cause they aren't near that cute all grown up. (we have several living on our property) How tall do those cranes get to be? They look really tall in the pictures.
LOL i love your girls. that always make me :D
that opossum is really neat! he must be really used to people in order for you to get that close. maybe he was someones pet once?
I'm not real sure how tall they get. I'd say most of the ones I see that are adults are probably 3 1/2 to 4 ft tall. They are quite large. They have a patch of red fur on top of their heads. They can be quite annoying too as they think they own the road and people's yards. LOL. They sometimes stand just off the side of the road. And Vette as far as the possom goes as being someone's pet, I'm not too sure about that. I think he's just a young possum and maybe he doesn't know to run away. All he wanted to do was eat and eat.Quote:
