I'm so glad that I'm not alone in the nickname department!! My family (especially my sister and I) have tendencies to give nicknames to everyone we know...including our pets! LOL Sometimes they happen by accident and then stick...and most of the time the names don't even make a lot of sense!!!
Ok, oftentimes I will refer to my 2 boys cats as "the monsters", or the "little monsters" depending on my mood or what they've done. ha ha ha ha My hubby sometimes calls them beasts or beasts of burden...don't know why really...ha ha ha
Of course Scooter is often called "bug-eyed kitten" or psycho-cat...because he does look permenantly shocked! Aaron often insists that Scooter is still "just a kitten", so he's just his kitten all the time.
My Marius has several names. The main one being Chug. I think this one came about when I was living in Cincinnati, and for some reason I associated him with a Milk Chug. He's white, and when he sits, he looks like a milk chug bottle. Plus, it sounds funny. So most of my family refer to my Marius as the Chug...and he'll often respond to that name:rolleyes:
Other variations include: Chug, Chuglet, Chug-a-lug, Chuggable lug (I don't know how these come about!!!:D), my little luglet (are these even real words?? I don't think so!! ha ha ha ha)
Other names for my Marius are: marius-head, kitty-head, my little baby and fuzzbucket:D
