Barbara, (and Filou too!)
I'm IMPRESSED with Filou's good behavior. His cousin and friend Micah was the opposite when he went to his homeopathic vet!! I'll have to find that thread to give you a laugh. :)
Sounds like your vet knew what he was talking about...much better than the one we saw.
I feed Royal Canin and all of my cats do really well on it...especially Micah with is IBD and Noah with his sensitive tummy.
Lots of luck with Filou. It sounds like you really are on the ball with whats going on. That's so great to hear.
Hugs,
Kelly :)

Here's that thread: http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthre...ah+homeopathic
I'm ONLY posting this to show how GOOD Filou was compared to my Micah. ;) I like and prefer homeopathic vets...I just chose the wrong one this time.

Kelly, looks as if your homeopathic vet was totally different from mine.
I would have problems to see a spiritual healer. From my education I feel close to science (I'm have studied physics) and think that a lot of spirituality is in the culture. So I respect other religions deeply (e.g. buddhism or zen) but I know I could never be a buddhist because it is not in my culture.
I know that the scientific roots of homeopathy can be doubted- on the other hand I have seen successes that have not been achieved by school medicine but by homeopathy.
So my vet is a normal vet with a university study and on top he has a homeopathy grade. I liked how much he was watching- my Filou exploring his room and his dog and how much he was listening. And of course I am sure that Filou's soul is connected to all the spiritual secrets on earth ;)- but that was not the topic yesterday.;)

Barbara, the homeopathic vet sounds wonderful and seems to really care about animals. I'm also glad that Filou was such a good boy.:D Hopefully he'll now stay happy and healthy with his new medicine and diet.:)

Barbara,
I agree with you. I believe in the scientific side of medicine, but do not discount the natural remedies as well.
I'm so glad you had such a pleasant experience with your vet. I wish I could find one like yours.
