But I really needed the hugs too. :)
I believe you probably are a very private person, not unlike
myself. It must have been very hard for you to post anything
at all about personal feelings. Please don't feel you've depressed
anyone, you haven't. I really do hope the sadness is short lived.
Take care. :)
I suffer from depression and am on Zoloft and Wellbutrin. Due to the high cost of medicine, my husband and I would never be able to afford it on our own. I see a nurse practioner and she helps me get my medicine for free through Connection to Care. Please ask your doctor about it. Based on your income you may be able to get your medicine at a reduced cost or even for free. Also look into Care Credit. I'm not sure what they cover exactly but I know it works like a credit card that you can only use at doctors, including dentists and even vets.

Jen, you have not depressed me...it's just that I wish I had some great advice to offer or some words to comfort you.
In this world, there is no such thing as too many.....

Jen, you should never be sorry that you need a friend to help lift your spirits. Depression is a disease - you do not choose to have it. And there is no shame in having it.
If you need a place to talk, here is a good one. Everyone here cares about you and would do whatever they could to help you.

I wish there was something i could offer to help. I've been "depressed" before, but, never clinically. I can only hope that you have more good days than not. And, I'm truly sorry that I'm unable to help you.
Jenn, clinical depression is one of the things I've had to learn to live with. I have setbacks sometimes, and its so hard to ask for help. Sometimes it takes someone around me to notice it, I can't tell- I just feel overwhelmed. As others have said, medications really help - as does exercise (it stimulates good brain chemicals) and counseling (which I can't afford right now either). There are community programs to help you get the medications you need - contact your local health dept. to ask what's available in your area. At least you are reaching out on PT - please know you are not alone - feel free to pm me if you'd like to talk.
Don't feel sorry for venting here: we all care for you and we are happy to try to chear you up! I know depression is no laughing matter at all.... ; lots of people just think it's all between your ears; but they are so wrong!!! I've had severe depression before, and I know that I wouldn't have made it without medicine. So please try to follow the advise some gave here to get your meds for free.

What I hear about depression is: Of course you can have setbacks. It seems to be a disease that comes back:(
But on the other hand your depressive feelings will not last forever, they will go again- and it is great that you can come over here and talk about it. I am sure that is the first step out of it.

Jen just want to offer you my support, love and HUGS, I am sad to hear you are feeling so low again, depression is like that, it just knocks you down when you least expect it, I can only hope that it will in time get better again, and that awful feeling will depart and soon, ,know I am thinking of you and understand competely where you are coming from.
I think it is a good thing that you feel you can post about it Jen, it means you know you are amongst friends, and we are always here for you as much as we possibly can be, cheer up sweetie and take care of yourself.:)
Thanks again all. Reading your responses are wonderful.
By the way, I am on a program to receive my medicine for free until I can get back in a health insurance program. The part I am concerned about is.....if I think I need a new medicine or new dosage that the doctor might need to SEE me first (not just prescribe over the phone). But I have not tried yet. I feel good this morning, I may wait a bit to see if the feelings happen often or if that was an isolated incident.
Debbie is right, since I remember how horrible the lows can be, I fear that is what is coming next. :(
I hope to try to exercise (something I absolutely HATE!), but it is something I need to try to do.
Thanks again. :)
glad you feel a bit better this morning - have some experience of how you feel....take each day as it comes and remember there are a lot of people here with hugs ready for when you need them
Jen,
I'm sorry you're feeling so down. I suffer from clinical depression and yes, I do have setbacks. I try to ride them out.
I've been on a program called "Bridges to Access" in Michigan. The doctor fills out a prescription and paperwork and submits it to the pharmaceutical company. They send you your medicine free, directly to your house.
Feel better Jen. Depression sucks! But we're survivors. You'll get through it!!

Jen I'm very sorry to hear you've been so down lately and by the sounds of it, you have a valid reason.
Please just know that all of us are here for you if you ever need a friend to talk to.
Glad your feeling a little better today, maybe this will make you smile just a bit more...
