He is a cutie! Good luck!
Oh, he is sooo adorable! Good luck with him!:D
oh, he's BEAUTIFUL!! I sure hope you get him!!!:)
What a cutie!!!! Hope everything goes well and I hope you can get him!!!!
Aaaack -- I'm still waiting for the foster mom to get in touch with me, I had hoped to meet him this afternoon but that's not likely to happen at this point!
Crossing fingers that Petey will wait for us! I'm wondering if perhaps the FM had a few other families interested and possibly adopted him out already? I just want him to have a great home, even if it can't be mine :)
Will update when I hear back!
Thanks for your good wishes!
Rats ;) The FM adopted Mr. Petey right out from under my nose to another loving family! I had figured as much because she hadn't been in touch regarding a confirmed time for us to come meet him, but I'm still disappointed...however, I'm very happy that she found him a loving, more local home (I'm three hours from her and she had been honest in the beginning of our email exchanges that she typically adopted locally). He's a sweet dog and I know his new forever home will be a safe, joy-filled one.
Now I guess I can begin my search anew for a second dog -- I'm definitely staying more local this time, we have tons of shelters and rescues in our neighboring communities and I know the right doggie is waiting for us somewhere! This is a process that takes time, and rightfully so -- we want to make the best choice in a dog as much as the rescues/shelters want to make the best choice in a family!
Thanks again for your good thoughts.
I couldn't agree more. When you already have one dog, you really want the new one to be compatible as well as a good fit for your family. As you said, the process can take time and have a bit of stress, wondering if you are making the right decision. Sometimes the answer comes in a place you didn't even think of looking or a certain animal that you didn't think you'd consider.Quote:

Isn't that right Tucker? (My adopted dog who was definitely supposed to be a female and instead of coming out of a shelter was on his way back to one. ) ;)
Well, glad to hear that Petey found a home anyway. And it sounds like you have a great attitude about it. You are right, keep looking and you will find a perfect match for your family. Good luck and we will keep an eye out for your new addition post. :D
Aw, well, good for Mr. PETEY. He has a loving home now. I'll bet Mr. RIGHT DOGGIE is waiting around, tappin' his paws, on the lookout for you...:D
Aw, I'm sorry it didn't work out for you with Petey but I hope he will be very happy in his new fur-ever home!
Good luck finding the perfect pup!
Sorry you lost out. That dog was such a cutie. But, there are plenty more that needs good homes. Good luck on your search.
