on the way Karen!
I talked with Karen this afternoon. She sounded marvelous and the same funny lady, talking a mile a minute. She did say she is having a bit more pain (okay a lot more) than the last surgery, but it hasn't affected her attitude. She is one brave and fiesty lady. They will either keep her there - because she is such a riot-or kick her out.
:D
She said to tell everybody hello but didn't know when she would be able to sit at a computer to post herself.
I've been thinking about Karen. I'm glad to hear that she has been in touch. We still have all our fingers and paws crossed for a successful outcome!! :D
Glad to hear that all went well with the surgery. I will pray that the pain subsides quickly and Karen is as good as new! Hugs to Karen, Mom, John and KLo.
Karen you are certainly in my thoughts and prayers my fellow k9er! I'm glad to hear the surgery went well, and I hope you're feeling better soon. Take it easy and take care of yourself!
Karen, I could have sworn I replied to this earlier. I'm glad to hear you made it through the surgery ok. Hopefully, you'll be feeling better really soon. I know it must be horrible to not be able to do anything at all. Tell Klo that Duke sends kisses.
Many healing thoughts and prayers for Karen and her mom. *gentle hugs*
I just got off the phone with Karen a few minutes ago. I told her about this thread, and she said to be sure and tell everyone thank you for your concern, prayers and thoughts. She is doing pretty well considering how extensive her surgery was. She said the pain this time was much worse than when she had her neck surgery but is living with it pretty well except when she moves OUCH! or has to get up to go to the bathroom. :o She will most likely be discharged tomorrow afternoon but it will be some time before she can sit at her computer. I asked her to have John take dictation and type her posts for her! LOL!
 Tomorrow, wow. They sure don't want anyone hanging around too long, do they, but knowing Karen, she will feel better when she is home with her K-Lo.
I talked with Karen this morning and she was fairly sure the plan would be for her to be released, but she hadn't seen the doctor yet. Her pain meds have been downgraded. She is missing her KLo something fierce. That is going to be some reunion. I hope KLo senses that she can't be too rough and tumble with her mom.
Can only sit for about 15 minutes at a time, but I wanted to thank all of you for your prayers and good wishes! {Hugs} to Rachel and Pam for your calls. Still very swollen, in pain, using a walker and trying to get comfortable. I get my back brace in 2 weeks and I have to remember, but actually a jolt of agony works as a good reminder, not to bend or lift. Klo is watching me like a hawk and is very very gentle. She's been sitting next to me to be petted and when she lays down, she wraps her paws around my ankle and puts her head on my feet. What a smartie pants. I hope the results of this surgery jumps starts my normal life again, now that "the mess" is cleaned up. Mom is doing OK. She developed pneumonia again but is doing alright. I'm hoping I can bring her back home someday.
So glad to hear your doing better. Praying this all works for you. Sounds like you have agreat home nurseing staff. Merlin would do that too on days that I could barely move due to a insulin reaction.
Karen I'm glad to hear your home and doing well:)
Hey Girlie!!!! :) So glad you're home and very surprised to see you've been at the computer!!! Can't keep you down for anything, can they? :D
Love,
Logan
*gentle hugs* I'm so happy to hear you are home and on the road to recovery. :)
