Sending lots of healing thoughts to Marigold.
Marigold will be in my thoughts and prayers.
I know know how you feel. I had to leave Gidget for an emergency hysterectomy and the look she gave me I will never forget, but you have to do what you have to do. Marigold will understand and forgive. They can't make decisions for themselves so we have to. Prayers and Hugs to both of you.
Oh how awful. I know how stressful it is when our babies are sick. All fingers and paws crossed here that things go well and sweet Marigold will be home soon.
I'm so sorry to hear about Marigold. She'll definitely be in my prayers.
Poor Marigold...poor YOU! Its so hard when our furballs are sick...we worry so much and just want them happy and well.
Please give her some kisses for me when she returns home.
Hugs,
Kelly :)
Oh Anna, I'm so sorry to hear that sweet Marigold had to go to the vets.:(
Please keep us updated, I hope she's feeling better real soon.
Hugs to you and especially to Marigold when you pick her up at the vets.
I just got an uppiedate from the kind Doctor (yes, at 9:15 pm) and there is no update. :( She is on pain meds, antibiotics and the procedure is scheduled for tomorrow morning. She said that she is very affectionate and loving!! So that made me smile.
Meanwhile, I miss my Goldy kitty. Thank you sooo much for the well wishes and prayers. I appreciate every single one of them!!
poor sweets
what was the abscess from?
There's some bad news, and some good news! The good news is that Marigold came through the surgery just fine, and I will be picking her up at 6 pm tonight! The bad news is that there were actually two pockets of infection, but she only put one drain in.
Shais Mom, we aren't really sure what they are from. The vet suggested that she might have gotten injured several weeks or months ago, and the infection has been slowly brewing. She certainly has seemed fine -- playful, cuddly, eating, pooping and nothing appeared wrong from the exterior. I feel really guilty for not noticing, but I never suspected anything.
Anyway, I can't wait for her to come home, but I'm a bit nervous about keeping her still and comfortable until she heals.
Oh no! Two owies? Poor girl. Glad surgery is over now and she's now on her way to recovery.
Don't feel bad about not noticing...cats are experts at hiding stuff like that, its in their nature.
Give her kisses when she comes home for me.
Hugs,
Kelly :)
Poor golden kitty, I hope she'll get better soon.
Poor sweet Marigold! I'm so sorry to hear you are ill!
I'm glad the surgery is behind you already, and I hope you will feel much better soon!
Get well soon!
Kirsten
You know that with cats you should never feel sorry for not noticing... They are specialists in hiding....
I hope that Marigold will be better soon- and her trust will come back in no time- she knows in her little kitty heart you wouldn't take her to the bet if it wasn't for her best:)
I'm so glad to hear that Marigold's surgery well and that you'll be able to bring her home tonight.:) I'm sorry that she has two owies but I'm sure that she'll recover quickly and be just fine. Get well soon Marigold.:)
If she has to remain still then you might want to consider buying a dog crate. This is what I bought for Storm after his surgery and it helped him a lot. Take care.:)
