:p:p:p
I AM nuts!!!!!
I went and picked them BOTH up!! They are now in my back room. The llittle calico needs a bath desperately!! Her white is "brownish". They both need earmite medicine and a dose of flea stuff. But I've gotta wait a little bit as they are both skittish.
In an effort to get them used to each other kinda quickly (yeah, I know, but I'd rather have them both in one room than have to give up two of my rooms), I've put the little calico in a large crate for a while and gave Parker time to get settled. Then I'll switch them so she can have some time.
Parker was definitely abused, as when I go to pet him, he cowers and hisses. Calico seems to like the security of the crate. I MAY just set up the larger cage for one of them and take turns so hopefully they will get accustomed to each other.
When I went to the shelter, I asked the ACO (a really nice man) if I could take BOTH of the cats for the price of one. He asked me what I was planning on doing with them. "Take them to a chinese restaurant! Of course I was only kidding! I told him I wanted to find both of them good homes. He asked me how many cats I had. I said 3 (Okay, I fibbed, but it was for a good cause). I told him I didn't live in Allen Park (he said he didn't want 5 cats in one household in his town). Then he said, "Look, you're a nice lady and you're trying to do good thing, so I'll give them both to you for nothing.
I was SO happy!! :D:D:D I told him when they both get adopted, I'd be back for the third cat (a sweet big orange boy) to find him a good home.
I feel so good! I now have Shortie, a calico Munchkin and a beautiful calico cat who could be her twin, except for the legs.
I promise, in a day or two, once they calm down a bit, I'll post pictures. WOOHOO!!!!!!
