What is about me sitting at the computer trying to get some work/play done that attracts the kitties? I will have to get some pics at some point, but Claudia absolutely loves it when either of us are at either of our computers.
By the way, you should make sure to clean your keyboards regularly, given the amount of cat hair that can accumulate with computer-friendly cats! :)

hey - Haven't you folks heard of keyboard skins?
I've always had them for my computers, and you can even get them for laptops now -
they are thin skins that don't change the 'touch' of the keyboard, yet they keep all the crumbs, hair, spills, dirt, grime, staples and paperclips out of your keyboard. you can take them off periodically and WASH them with dish soap and water, and put them back on. you can even SCRUB them, if needed.
I started using them on keyboards when my son was 3 and started to use my computer - I would never have a computer again without one on the keyboard! They are custom made for YOUR keyboard, so you are assured of a great fit and they are only about $15 each!
(they look similar to the ones you often see used on the computers in stores, Auto repair places (like Jiffy Lube and sears) and grimy facotories and warehouse locations. However, the home and office use ones are much, much thinner, and you really don't notice them at all while typing.
Here's just ONE company that makes them for both desktop keyboards AND laptops -
http://www.protectcovers.com
so you can see what I mean - though if you just search for 'Keyboard skins' you will get lots of different companies.
safe for kids and kitties!
