Very sad and what a pretty cat.
So sorry for your loss.
Frolic in peace and health at the Bridge, darling girl! You've left a lot of love in your wake.
Scampers, your pawprints are forever embedded on your boy's heart. No matter how big he is, or how old he gets, we know he is your boy forever. Watch over him from the Rainbow Bidge, and scamper there to your heart's content.
I never know what to say at times like this:(
It saddens me to hear about Scampers (sorry I never seen the other thread).
He was a beautiful cat.
RIP Sweet Scampers
I'm so sorry to hear about Scampers passing.:(Just remember that she'll live in your heart forever and you'll all be reunited some day. RIP sweet Scampers. {{{{HUGS}}}}
So so sorry to hear of your loss of sweet Scampers. :(
Sending hugs and healing vibes.
She is a very pretty cat - I am sorry for you and you're husband's loss.
I am sorry - this must be so hard for you. Scampers was a beautiful kitty. Such nice black fur. I shudder to think about how we'll handle it one day (hopefully many, many years from now) when our kitties pass over the RB.
I know that in Jan 2000, when my childhood dog, Lady (a long-haired collie) died, I felt so sad. She was 16 or so - she was a country dog - lived a good life. She was the best. It's hard to lose a pet. In 1983, when I was just 5, my mom's 17-year-old cat, Missy, died. I remember Mom being so upset and I was pretty confused and upset too.
I'm thinking about you guys, and my kitties send purrs and kisses your way. :)
I'm so sorry.
Rest in Peace sweet Scampers.
I am so terribly sorry. But you know in your heart that it was for the best. What a very unselfish act.
RIP Scampers Have a great time at the RB:(
So sorry to hear about dear Scampers. It's a tough decision have to make, but she is no longer suffering. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Thank you all so very much for your kind words. Last night I wasn't feeling up to writing much, but this morning I am.
Scampers was a great cat. We prefer our kitties to stay inside where they are safe, comfortable and with us, but Scampers would have none of that. She loved being outside, especially with our neighbor Margaret. She would spend all day with Margaret and usually willingly came home to us at night, but sometimes Justin would have to go get her and make her come home. She had her own food and water at Margaret's house and Margaret's son built her a grand bed to nap in. It has 2 levels and his wife made bedding for it. Scampers loved it.
Justin got Scampers when he lived in Maryland. Shortly after they got her they lost their house. Justin went to live with his aunt and Scampers went right along with him. Justin's family eventually moved back down here to Florida, and they lived with another one of Justin's aunts. After awhile the moved again, to another aunts house. Scampers moved with them each time until they moved into a run down RV. There was 5 people living in a very small and hot space, so Scampers couldn't move with them this time. She stayed with a family member.
Justin's parent's eventually got a home of their own and Scampers came back and lived with them. Somewhere along the way she developed a love for being outside. At their new home Scampers loved to lay out on the walk way and enjoy the sun. When Justin and I got married 4 1/2 years ago she moved here with us. She loved it here.
Many hugs for you and Justin.
RIP Scampers. :(
Scampers' story reminds me a bit of Mimi, who has picked up and gone with me many, many times, Kari. She has always adjusted beautifully. What wonderful friends they are to us. :)
Rest in peace, Scampers. You will be missed.
It is hard to let them go but you did the most loving thing we can do for our furbabies and that is to not let them suffer. You most certainly did the right thing. Bless you both...we understand.
Play hard at the RB Scampers!
