Wow..
It sounds like you have a lot of problems with those kitties. However I think its all related to the same thing !! Dry air, seasonal changes in the environment. People all react in different ways as well, we get dry cracked noses, itchy elbows and knees, watery eyes, running itchy ears. Lets not panic too much. One old fashioned remedy for dry skin problems in cats it Cod Liver Oil. Cats love it, its fishy and smelly but does wonders for them. not just the skin, but degestive tract, hairballs, dry coughs etc... Try keeping the Humidity in the house up around 60%. it may take more than one of the small table top units to achieve this, but its still alot cheaper than visits to the vet. If the cat with the very itchy skin, I'd try some childrens moisturizing shampoo & conditioner, its mild and won't unset the tummy from licking. Also try giving them a little moist / canned food daily, as long as they still eat the dry thats good for teeth its not going to hurt in the short term..... I have 9 babies, all have some minor problems since the weather got cold and dryer, and all have responded nicely to the added cod liver oil and humidifers.... Hope this makes sense and hope it helps you out... :)

Lisa,
I have no advice to add to all that has already been written. Just wanted to say Briggs and I are sorry to hear that several of your babies are having difficulties. Hope they will be feeling much better SOON and that whatever treatment Peanut Butter requires will not prove harmful to you and hubby!!!! :)

Lisa, I know all about the frustrations of coughing, wheezing, and sneezing kitties. As far as I can tell, mine are all just passing around the seasonal URI virus! I've been keeping my vet in business through my purchases of Clavamox! I think the vaporizer suggestion is a good one, and also the cool mist ...as I have heard that you can breed more germs into the air if you don't keep warm vaporizers really clean!!!;)

I can't thank you all enough! I know a lot ot this is due to weather and environmental changes but it 's still irritating! Magoo is really stressed over this itching thing and when Magoo is stressed so am I!
PB and Lucky seem to ok other than runny ears.
Abigail seems to have responded to the humidifier and hasn't had another attack since. She does not have runny eyes or nose, just these coughing attacks occasionally.
Thank you all once again for your help. I will keep everyone updated.:)
