I choose the 80s and 90s :D. I love alot of the music from the 80s, i was born in 81 so grew up with 80s and 90s music. I have fond Madona memories, when friends and i would dress up and dance around singing LOL.

I like music from the 60's and 70's best (The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin...). I also like 80's music too, I don't like much newer music though.
'60s, '70s and '80s, although most of the music I like from the '80s is from bands who hung around for 10-20 years.
You know it does seem like in the past bands stayed together longer. A lot of the bands I was listening to in the 80s had been putting out hits in the 70s too. Now it seems like actual band groups are less common and the focus is often on one person because voices and band music can easily be reproduced electronically. My perception may be off because I often stay to listening to older stuff rather than new, I am mostly going off of what I have seen on music shows on TV or music awards shows. It seems like a lot of the new bands I heard in the 90s disappeared by 2000. But again I could be wrong as around 2000, I stopped listening to newer stuff as much.Quote:

This poll has been very interesting to me :)
I love something from all the era's, but I say 90's is my favorite, especially the rap and hip hop from then. But also, alot of the rock like Metallica, Greenday, etc...
I love the music from the 80s, it had a lot of power and energy. Some of the 90s ain't bad either. :)

What?!
No 19th and 18th century categories?!
Boooooooo! :D ;)
That would be other ;). I figured the majority would fall in the options I put and Other would be anything before the 50s :) I absolutely love some of the 18th and 19th century music and even before, but probably listen to 70s to 80s 60-70% of the time.Quote:

Technically my era would be late 70s/early 80s and I do love a lot of music from then, but afraid I gotta go with the brillance and diversity of the 60s. From Folk, to Beach Music, to Motown, to Psychedlic Rock. I love it all. Some of my all time faves are from that era. The Mamas and the Papas, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Simon and Garfunkel, Jefferson Airplane, Janis Joplin, Crosby, Stills and Nash, The Doors, Barbra Streisand, Patsy Cline, Bob Dylan, The Beach Boys, The Supremes, The Temptations, and the list goes on and on.
Par...
I have to say the 80's but I do like others too.:)
I love the 'oldies'... anything from the 50s, 60s, 70s... jazz and swing from the 20s and 30s.... i'm not much for any of the present day stuff. It all tends to sound the same to me, and there is very little real talent out there. I hate rap, and can only take techno in small doses. I love classical music too. Having sung Handel's Messiah, Handel's Coronation Anthems, Carmina Burana, Mozart's requiem and others, i was able to develop an appreciate for the 'old masters' hehe :D
