The weather was unbelievable today, for MN to get above 70 on October 29 is a first for me in my 8 years here. I sorta gave myself the afternoon off from work and packed up the dogs for a little hiking trip to Quarry Park and Nature Preserve. I wish I could truly share how beautiful it was, and not a soul out there besides me, the pups and the wild creatures, but the pics will have to do. They don't quite do it justice, but they turned out pretty good. I'll be posting doggy pics later in DG.
First, when I arrived, I saw these signs posted

It was really muddy in some areas due to it raining all day yesterday, so I looked for any tracks that might look like a cougar's but didn't see any.
Oh, it was wonderful here in Wisconsin too! It was 74 degrees and a little overcast. It was heavenly- it smelled so good outside it made me miss summer soo bad!
We have cougars around our cottage (in Black River Falls, southeast of Eau Claire) and when I went hiking on the horse trails near our cottage I found a lot of tracks in the mud- here is a picture I got:

I got pretty excited when I found them, I never thought I would see cougar tracks. The locals said they have seen a large male in the area with a radio collar on- I have yet to see it.
