and shadow, who was my first dog, she was rehomed this past summer with my best friends family do to issues with my other dogs. she is a sheltie/border collie.

Growing up, I can remember a mutt of some sort named Beech nut, I've seen baby pictures of myself with a black lab, his name was Trapper, then, the dog of a lifetime, a beagle named Spike, a golden retriever named MacDuff, my mother had a Dalmation named Marino, and of course, my parents still have 16-year-old Max, a mixed breed.

Personally, I've just had the four I have now--beagle mix, labbie mix, rottie, and shiba.
My husband had a malamute growing up, and rotties later on.

Hi,
When I was growing up I have had German Shepards (3). Then I have had Yellow Labrador's (2), and 1 Black Cat named shadow who lived 17 years. Now I have a Chihuahua, and love this breed. This is the first pet for me to love and take care of that I picked for myself. ;)

We have had 3 akitas, an alaskan malimute wolf mix, chihuahua, and now we have a half lab half chow CHICO and half rott half mastiff Omar....oh yeah we have had a few strays that we kept for a while until we found the owners..a beagle, a doberman, and a golden.

The three mutts I have now.

The following when I was growing up:

Maize - Wire Haired Fox Terrier I was really young when we got her. My parents had gotten my sister and I rabbits for Easter and while I was playing with my rabbit, a cat came over the fence and took my rabbit from me. I was so upset that my parents decided to get Maize to help me get over the loss of my rabbit. She ended up being a lil' too hyper for a lil' kid, but Mom really liked her, because she kept the yard so safe. She never worried about us, when Maize was around. No snake got past her.

Muffin - Poodle mix Oh gosh, I loved this dog. Even though she was officially the family dog, she only had eyes for me.

Genghis - Lhasa Apos Mom got him for me, but he ended up being my Dad's dog. He really was not a very friendly dog. Every negative breed trait mentioned in the breed books, he had. He's the reason I'm very paranoid about what dog I choose. If friendly isn't at the top of their breed description, that pretty much lets them out.

My Dogs, that I got after I moved out on my own:

McMurphy - Cairn Terrier I got him 2 weeks after I moved into my own house. It was also the same week that my Grandfather died. I got the call in the middle of the night, so I took him with me to my Grandmother's house. That friendly, lil', gregarious, personality of his, helped quite a few people that night, including my Grandmother. He brings that same light to my life everyday, with that lil' tail wag of his.

Madison - Cairn Terrier My lil' soulmate dog. May every one be so blessed to have at least one Maddie in their lifetime.

Oz - Smooth Collie My right hand man. I have never felt as secure as with him in my life. He's always there watching out for me. He does his Lassie roots proud. He's also always there with a nose nudge to brighten up my day, if I'm down. If Maddie was my Toto, then Oz is my Scarecrow (which I guess makes Murph the Tin Man and Gull the Cowardly Lion :)).

Gulliver - Smooth Collie My lil' Clown. He brings laughter into my life everyday with his antics. May he not lose that zest as he matures.

I grew up with a yorkie named Kasi. That is the only dog we had in our house growing up, but I also grew up with my grandma's black lab, Ace. My grandma lived across the road from us so Ace was a huge part of my childhood. My grandma also had a sheltie and an australian shepherd when I was very young, but I don't really remember them.

The 4 I have now are the only ones I've had since moving out of my parents house. Those 4 are a pomeranian, miniature pinscher, chihuahua, and a pug.

I started with what we all thought was an All-American...aka Mutt. But then we were told that he seemed to be a Coon Hound. He was just my buddy growing up - so it really didn't matter to me!

Then we moved on to a German Shephard (one of my favs)
In college I had 2 rescue mutts.
After college I had a Cocker Spaniel
An adopted beagle/bassett mix
and now I have 2 Cocker Spaniels.


I loved them all - and in the future don't know what type I may be luckly to share my time with!

german shepherd/malamute cross(Emmy. was a christmas gift from a neighbor.)

belgain malinois(Belfigore. stupid name i know. my dad named him. dad saw some guy dump him a a coal mine)


we also had a litter of 10 border collie/st.bernard/samoyed mix pups(Roxy's) and a litter of 5 boxer/border collie cross pups.(i rescued from a guy that was going to drown them)

Growing up my family had chows and then lots of mutts that people would dump in our yard. Right now at my parents house they just have one dog named Pepper, I don't even think anyone could even being to guess what breed she is, she's just a very cute dog.

My parents had dogs before I was born but I'm only going to count the ones that I grew up with...
