I call noon - lunch and evening - dinner but most my in-laws call them dinner and supper so they act like they don't know what I'm talking about. In fact, my father in law said I was trying to act all "up town" by calling them lunch and dinner instead of dinner and supper like regular folk - geesh!

noon=lunch
evening=dinner
EXCEPT on Sundays, when we ate a big meal late in the afternoon, around 3pm and that was also called dinner.
If we ate something later in the evening, a smaller meal, that might be called supper but I never liked that word for some reason!

At noon, it's lunch, and the evening is supper... or dinner if it's more... elegant, or we are going somewhere fancy.
Buuutttt.... now that it's summer... I wake up at noon... and noon becomes breakfast and I skip lunch altogether! Lol....
