Wow! What an amazing job you have, Bufford, and it sounds like you take it very seriously and are great at what you do. Congratulations, our extra special DOTD!
The Bufford story really touched my heart--when I was a teen ager we adopted a boxer from a family who owned a female boxer that lived in a liquor store in NYC!! My parents stopped in there every month of so for their "bourbon fix" (not alcoholics, but enjoyed a belt at night), and fell in love with the mother and pups ...
We had our boxer Ann for eleven years--my father was a big walker, would often go half way around Manhattan island, and she once protected him from a mugger--broke loose from her leash, and chased him down the street.
Summers we went to Cape Cod where she ran up and down the beach for hours.
I don't know why you don't see more boxers around these days; even I have had mostly Labradors with a few Bernese Mt. dogs thrown in.
Nothing like a good dog, and Bufford is the best! Incidentally, I love the natural ears--I really don't believe in cropping.
You are a true Fur-Angel! It seems your story has inspired a couple of people to sign up today just so they could stop in and congratulate you :D
You and your human are truly inspiring. I loved your story, and I'm sure I will be back to read it many times, it's truly heart warming :) If there is a Dog of the Year award it should go to you, Bufford, you're 80 lbs of pure heart :D Your students are very lucky to have you ;)
Give your human extra kisses today to thank them for sharing this wonderful story with us. Congratulations sweet Bufford, Fur-Angel of the day!!!!:D :D
I can't get over all the wonderful roles you fulfill, you big old, strong, handsome, dude! You're a true hero - I bet you love your job too! (I'm very jealous!)
Just by your appearance you must bring joy to many beholders - but to give kisses and read books and piggy-back ride - now that's asking an awful lot!
Congrats on DOTD! I'm in love with ya.
First of all, let me just say that Bufford is one handsome gentleman! :) .....from one boxer owner to another! It is wonderful what you and Bufford are doing for the children!
I am in awe at such a wonderful canine angel. Bufford, you truly made my day. What a great story and what a fantastic pup. Enjoy your day as you very well earned it.
