I am amazed that she hasn't suffered any long lasting consequnces health wise after being used as a football. She doesn't have any problems hearing or seeing or anything like that ? or am I getting the wrong end of the kitty tail here?
She seems to be doing just great, no effects of any kind, though at first I did worry about everything. Her little tummy stayed swollen for a while and i was worried about that, but I fed her the orphan kittens milk from the vets and kept an eye on everything she done, from using the bathroom to how she ate, and kept her clean. Made sure her bedding was clean. The vet kept me assured that she was okay, as long as she was not passing any blood, and urinating the way she was supposed to. Now she is seven months old I would say, I got her on April 4, and she had just got her eyes open. One of the pictures of her sucking egg yolk out of my hand was made on Easter, I had just fell the night before and broke my ankle, so she was with me constantly, and still is. She seems now like she wants to take care of me, she licks my lips, my face and even my eyes. I feel like she takes care of me now. :) :D

Ohhhhh, bless you and your daughter for saving this precious little girl and showing her true human love and kindness! She is a gorgeous tortie girl, and I look forward to seeing many more pictures of her!!!:D
Thanks for everyones kind words, I just never knew there were so many people that would be so interested in Grover, and her life. She was so used to being used as a football, that she was in front of the door, and my husband started to go out the door, he took his foot and just moved her to the side, and she just lay there like she was ready to be kicked again. I made it a rule that nobody use their foot on her in anyway, because she looked so pitiful. My husband is one of those that don't like to touch animals of any kind! :o . All the kind words have made me feel there are a lot more people out there that does love cats, my husband says hardly anybody likes cats.:D . I'm glad to see he is wrong and i'm right.:D :D
Boy your husband is sooooooooo soooooo wrong. There are millions of people who just love cats.
In regards to little Grover just lying there when she is pushed out of the way by a foot, my guys do the same thing when they are lying in front of the front door and we go to push them out of the way with our foot. Nine out of ten times we have something in our hands, so they just lay there and look at us as if to say, "Oh yeah, make me." So in the end, we have to put down what we have in our hands and pick them up out of the way. I like to think of it as they don't want us to go out.
LOL Who controls who eh!
So hopefully, this is what your little Grover is doing rather than thinking she is going to be kicked like a football. Oh I shudder at the thought of it.
Give her a big kiss and hug for me please.
I finally figured out how to add pictures to my signature, but now I am having trouble keeping them in a straight line, never the less, I hope you enjoy my new pictures of Grover. She seems to be getting bigger all the time, she wants to eat all the time. She has really become part of the family now, and has a mind of her own, no nap time until she thinks its time to take a nap with her mommy, me, :D :) She is getting so independent, I keep having to remind her that I am the mommy.:(
How on earth did I miss this thread :o :o Grover is so sweet, how could anybody use her as a football   Bless you for saving her life and giving her a furrever home. Please post more pictures.....
And btw Welcome to Pet Talk. You'll love it here and will soon become as addicted as I am.:) :)
What a precious girl kitty and I love her name! My favorite photo is the one with the duck. Too, too cute!
I don't know if you know how she got the name Grover or not, but it was because my 17 year old daughter rescued her from a trash can at school, where some boys had found her and decided to play football with her, mad: kicking her completely across the floor, mad: one of the boys thought she was dead and threw her in the trash can, and my daughter happen to see she was still breathing and rescued her from the trash. My grandchildren voted to name ner Grover after the sesame street character that lives in a trash can. She was about two weeks old when she came to live with me and thats why I call myself mommy to her. :D , but anyway she did survive the ordeal and came to live with me, she was my mothers day present. I love the idea that my mothers day present came from the garbage can.:D :)
A great big welcome to Pet Talk, I think you will really enjoy it here. As for Grover, what a precious little baby she is. I'm in love with her face. Bless your heart for taking her in and your daughter for finding her.
I too have a "trash can" baby. My Smokey was thrown away when he was a baby. My girlfriend happened to find him and gave him to me.
Again welcome to PT and I look forward to hearing and seeing more of Grover.
