Daisy eats Purina kibble, but she also has this stuff called Moist and Meaty, which is pretty much what the name is: moist meat-flavored food. She prefers this over the kibble, but we want her to have both because kibble is good for a dog's teeth, and it's lower in fat. We rotate the two foods daily, and Daisy is pretty happy. I have heard that switching dog foods like that can cause stomach problems but they haven't in her, so unless she changes her tastes, we're sticking to Purina and Moist and Meaty http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif
Ilovehounds,
What an interesting list. Where did you get it from? Is it updated regularly?
Could you post the list of animal friendly products? I know that the Body Shop is one of them.
Thanks,
Tanya

Animal tests cannot be accurately applied to human experience because of the enormous physiological differences between animals and humans. More than 550 companies, including large corporations like Gillette and Avon, ensure their customers' safety by using more accurate, nonanimal tests, but some refuses to switch--even for cosmetics and household products, which make up the majority of products and are not required by law to be tested on animals.
I believe if everyone switched over to the Cruelty free then there would be no need to have the other products or other companies would soon switch to non-amimal testing methoods.
I must admitt I was using some products listed on the fist list but since this list was sent to me I have used non of it. I even try to get my family members to switch, if I happen to be shopping with them and they pick something up I will grab another product and say why can't you use this, do you know how many animals died to make that one bottle of shampoo http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif Every little bit helps.

Thanks LabLover your to kind http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif
The vet was so happy to see the wieght loss. After the vets we went to Hannah's fave store to pick out a treat and we looked for the Eukanuba but they didn't have the omaga coat so we will have to take a trip to Carleton Place to see if they have any.
Thanks for the nice compliment ilovehounds! :) YOU are too kind! I bet Hannah loves you for taking her too her favorite dog store and letting her pick out a treat! Do you know why nobody's little picture in their signature, or the little things that you, Sudilar, and I have in our signatures are NOT showing up? I think that it's maybe because of the new pet talk design thing! It's driving me crazy!!!
We use Exclusive, which has all natural ingredients and is chicken based. We switched from Iams after I read some not so complimentary things about them. I do know that when Proctor and Gamble bought out Iams they changed the formula a few times, which didn't make me happy. Just FYI
LabLover your pic in your signature is showing up on my computer ????? I can never figure these things out :) I do know that webshots was having some problems, maybe I should go check that out.
Sorry ilovehounds!!! It wasn't before, but now it is! Thanks!
We are very happy with Nutro Natural Choice Lamb and Rice. Greyhounds tend to have loose stools, and Nutro is the best we've tried at combatting that problem. Also, our dogs don't carry that dog food smell on them, like they did when they were on Diamond Lamb and Rice and ProPlan Chicken and Rice. We also like that the Nutro food had extra linoeic (?) acid in it, which makes their coats very soft and shiny.
Our little dog, Pup, is on Nutro Max Weight Control, which is the only quality weight control food we could find which has glucosime and chondrontin in it - which is good for her hip dysplasia (that is also why she is on weight control food).
The only food my collie can and will eat is California Natural Lamb and Rice. My puppy adores that as well, and I am comfortable with the ingredients. It's made by Natura, who also make Innova.
I am having excellant luck with Natural Choice dry food, Shai also like Nutro, and I have very good luck with Professional chicken and rice or lamb and rice available at Pet Supplies Plus. I mix it with some frozen BilJac and she loves it.
3greysandamutt, Shaianne is a greyhound, and we live in Upper Sandusky oh about 1 1/2 hours from Toledo. Welcome, I didn't get the tell you that the last time I saw a post from you. :D
Shai is rather picky, and I had a heck of a time finding a food for her. Now my picky eater is Kylie the cat. She has eaten dry Cat chow all her life and now she hardly eats it, I tried giving her canned food and that gave her loose stool, YUCK!!!! So I took about a teaspoon of tuna and mixed it for her and she still didn't eat it!!! I guess I will just put the dry food in the bowl and when she gets hungry enough she can eat it!!
LOGAN~
Did I read somewhere that you feed your kitties Bil Jac cat food?? If you do where do you find it? I looked at PSP and couldn't find it, I did find treats but not the food, maybe I didn't look well enough.
Hey Staci. Just happened to see your question. I buy BilJac Select, dry cat food, at Petsmart here. I get 10 pound bags.
Hope you can find it.
I'm jealous. I don't have Petsmart here and everyone seems to get the best things from them. I don't want to shop online, I want to wander through the store and check out all the neat stuff. How do I get them to open up one here?
