Sue! Meet Bear!!

Our local Golden Retriever rescue is overflowing too, Sue. It's overflowing so much that I am taking in a foster this afternoon. I am on hold with the vet's office right now to try to learn a little about him. His name is Zipper and he is 8 years old.

I figure, 3 might be a crowd, but so be it. How much harder can it be to have one more and make it an even 4 for a while? :rolleyes:

How can there be so many irresponsible people out there :( Do they think they are getting a toy or something :mad: Where would we be if it weren't for people like Logan and Sue and Mugsy and Aly et al :eek:

Oh, Logan, there are so many out there and I would love to save them all!!!! It is killing me not to be able to take in any fosters because of Killian's autoimmune and liver diseases. I try to help out in any other way that I can til I am able to foster again. As you know. there are always way too many GSDs out there that need rescuing and too many have to die. (not only GSDs, but all mixed breeds and purebreds). It hurts my heart. :(

the links provided(same person for Indiana). She lives in Richmond
Indiana.(eastern part of state). I don't even know Bernie, but he
looks like such a sweetie. (They all do, don't they) Oh well, I'll
certainly let you guys know if & when I hear anything more about

Liz, please keep us posted and I'm going to try and keep visiting that website to watch for Bernie and hopefully see that he is headed to a permanent, loving home! I would like to be able to let Sheri know how he is doing and whether those contacts were able to help.

I'll hopefully get pictures of Bear and Sweetie Pie, in person tomorrow that I can share here. And I will definitely keep you all posted on Zipper! I'm picking him up in about an hour. Cross your fingers on that one!!

Thanks again. I included my home email address to the Pyr Rescue person in Richmond,Ind. Hopefully I might hear something
back over the weekend. I just might try a phone call or two as

LIZ!!!! Great news!!! I hear from Great Pyr rescue that Bernie has been adopted!!!!! Can you verify this info??? WOOHOO!!!!

I just looked on the website and beside his picture, it says "I have been adopted". YEAH!!!! :D :D :D

I have one picture of Bear and Sweetie Pie that I can share from yesterday. He was a lovable, sweet, sweet boy and she was simply adorable. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera! :o So I have a picture someone took later in the day. I'll post it shortly.

Don't you just hate when that happens! I'm not a regular picture-taker and I always forget mine.

The best news of all is that as of 11:10 pm last night, both Bear and Sweetie Pie are in their new homes, with their new families! Sweetie Pie's journey ended in Massachusetts and Bear's in Maine. I'm sure they will both be very happy! Both adoptive moms have checked in with the transporters and are so excited about their new additions! What sweethearts!! :D
