And the two before it, one looking West and one looking East, I have the exact same pictures at home! I think everyone who goes up there takes those same pics. :D
The cool part for me being up there was knowing that at one point in history everything West of there was wilderness, and had yet to be tamed by civilization. How neat it would have been to see it then! :D
Oh, and I wasn't thrilled with those little pod things either. Once I was to the top I was ok, but the trip up and down I could do without.
Sounds like you had a great time! And did the kitties give you the cold shoulder when you got back or were they extra lovey dovey? :D
I HATED BEING UP IN THAT ARCH!!!...
I hated the ride up .... the stay at the top and the ride down!!!
It is funny you have the same pictures.... I guess I never thought about that.. but it is true!!:D

No.. they were both wide-eyed.. and sniffed us a little bit... then they kept laying down showing their bellies.. so we could pet them.... then the following day they wouldn't leave our sides... they missed us....*tear rolling down cheek* ;)
How cool! I've never knew you could actually go up the arch! I've seen pics of it but didn't exactly know what it was, other than an *arch*. What exactly is it for and how do you get up there? It looks so fun and scary at the same time! Could you please tell more about it since I know nothing about the arch. :o Thanks for sharing the pics. They're wonderful!
PCB,
It is a national momument.. that symbolizes the expansion westward..
