hi linda!
thanks for the welcome. my oldest cat is ok with sid but the others hate him. he is much safer at my mom's (and so are they.)
can i ask you a question? are your dachshunds agressive at all?:mad: sid has always listened to me but refuses to listen to my mom. and if my dad gets too close, well, watch out!:eek: i know they let him get away with too much and that's how they lost control but he sure is king now.
april & co.
I say doxin
:) Hi! My guys are not aggressive at all. They are very proctective though. I think every animal has certain "traits" but always have their own little personalities and often I have seen then act like "one people dog". They are very smart and will work people to their benifit. Being a little dog, I think they have a big attitude. I just love them. And we all know, the older we get, the crankier we are!!! :rolleyes: HA! :D
I knew i was in trouble when little sid not even a year old ( 5 whole pounds) chased a great dane through the vets! :eek:
don't get me wrong, he's a great dog just stubborn (like me):D
he is extreamely protective especially of my mom, he is very sooky with her too.
when you say dash hound sounds like Goldmember when he is telling Austins dad..... "Dash hater" or to translate Duch hater!.... hehehehe

Per websters dictionary:
Pronunciation: 'däks-"hunt, -"hund; 'däk-s&nt;
esp British 'dak-s&nd
I pronounce it Daks-hund or sometimes Daks-in-d
I pronounce it dox-und or just doxie lol
The 'ch' in German has a little edge to it like almost like a 'k' but not quite, like when classical music buffs say Bach. 'Hund' is the German word for dog and has the same Anglo-Saxon origin as our word 'hound.' It is pronounced with a 'u' sound somewhere between 'put' and 'boot.' The German 'd' is very hard, almost like a 't,' but not quite. Therefore: Dahks-hoondt, but keep the second syllable short. :D
Same here!;)Quote:
