Jackie, I was under the impression you had 2 dogs.. not 20! Hehe, just kidding. Its great to see other people spoil their pets as much as I do. You should see my collection of dog and cat toys.

Oh my gosh!!!!! Do all those leashes and collars belong to YOUR dogs? If they do, I'd be pretty amazed! That's a lot of stuff for just 2 dogs!! For Iris she know that one of the buckle collars means that she's going to do agility, the other one means tracking (we're not on a harness yet) and the choke chain/pinch collar means we're going to do obedience.
It's amazing how dogs no which collar is which.

I just got this in my email. I don't use retractable leashes but I just thought I'd give a heads up for those who do.
Retractable Leash Warning
Retractable leashes can be handy and more versatile than a regular leash. However, should something cause you to drop it, the leash may rewind, strike the dog, and cause him to flee in terror.
If you are using one with a wrist loop, be sure it is snugly in place and cannot slip off. If your leash doesn't have a wrist loop, either make one yourself or attach the handle to a belt loop with twine or whatever works for you.

So are you saying retractable leashes are dangerous and bad to use?
No, just saying to be careful. I prefer normal leashes just to maintain better control but I don't think there's anyting wrong with retractable leashes. You just have to be more cautious about things that could happen.

All those leashes and collars....and how very organized!! its the organized that scares me! i have collars and leashes all over the house and the car (you never know when your gonna fetch a stray!).

I just went to Petco and got Sadie a brand new red collar, and a two dog walker coupler, that is nylon red!
I use harnesses for all three of mine..It helps to not strangle them
