Wayne,
I hope you didn't take offense at me pointing that out. My Korat, Tucker's eyes turned green just recently (he just turned 3 in April). When I compared the two pictures on the links, the cats are VERY similar in looks. But I always thought that Russian Blues were alot fatter and their heads were rounder than a Korat.
I'm just glad Smokey (that's her name) was returned safely to her humans. Evidently she snuck out the door and crossed over the creek into the apartment complex where Ramanth lives.
BTW, how are your new babies doing?
I'm sure Smokey's people were very glad to get their beautiful girl back safely! Little do they know there were folks getting ready to drive across the country to adopt her. ;)
As much as we miss Smokey's company, Heela and I are very happy that we got her back to her owners.
That Friday, Heela and I hung Found posters around the apartment complex and around town. After doing that and walking our dogs, I went back to my apartment and checked my cellphone. I had one voice mail. It was from a Heather who was estatic that I found her cat.
Her name is Smokey and she's an indoor cat. Someone had left Heather's door ajar and Smokey slipped out unnoticed. By the time Heather realized she was missing, Smokey had already jumped the creek and had followed Heela home.
When Heather came over (in socks no less! 'No time to put on shoes.' she said. ;) :D ) Smokey meowed and gave Heather lots of kisses. :D
I love happy endings.
Oh goody! I'm so happy to hear that Smokey was reunited with her owner, and sooooo glad to hear that her owner was so excited to know that you found her that she didn't even take time to put her shoes on! She obviously loves Smokey very much and was traumatized by her getting out.
Great work Kim and Heela! :D
A happy story, so glad you found her owner. She looks like all of my cats, tht somehow makes it even worse to think of her in need.
