I'm so glad you took him in! He is such a beautiful cat, and he does look very healthy for a stray. He must've been very hungry, since he finished all that food that fast. and its also good that he's friendly with you and your other cats too.

He will be scanned to see if he has a microchip/existing owners.

My partner (don't you dare get attached to that cat) has mentioned that he looks like a caramel.
I will never understand men.
We've just got back from the vets. "Caramel" has severe inflamation in the roof on his mouth and under his tongue. They've taken a bloodsample to test for viral infections but at the moment it's not looking good. :(
Even if he's free of disease he'll need to have all his teeth pulled and biopsies taken to check for cancer. Most likely followed by a lifetime of medication and discomfort. :(
Oh my! I just found this thread and was getting so happy for you and excited until I read this last post. What a heartbreaking thing for little orangie and you as well. I had so much hoped for a clean bill of health and the news that he was going to be an official family member. Please do keep us posted as to the results of his blood test. Maybe the vet just painted the "worst case scenario" and things are actually not quite that bleak. :( Fingers crossed here and two sets of kitty paws crossed too.

How incredibly sad this is, he looked so well, i gather u will have to think twice as to whether u can take him in now, what a shame, if thats the case, obvioulsy he has been neglected and thats why he is ill poor wee soul
