My prayers are with you Romeo. *hugs*
How sad! This kitten must have been in great pain. Hope his leg heals quickly!
Poor little Romeo. :( Thinking and praying for you little one.
hugs and slugs for the little guy!
Keeping little Romeo in my thoughts and prayers.
so glad Romeo has made it thru the surgery! I hope there is nothing else wrong with him, and that he will be better soon, poor liitle guy , its going to be hard for a while with the cast, or whatever they put on his leg. how old is he again?
give the little sweetie a belly rub for me! and please post some pics!
Thank you all so much for your kind words, they are much appreciated, Romeo is four mths old, he has a small op, yesterday to repair his pad on his paw, and today he will undergo more surgery for his broken leg, they will be putting a pin in it, so i am keeping my fingers crossed all goes well, i will try to get pics of him if i can.
They have advised his owners to keep in in a confined area, perhaps the shower box until his leg heals, it seems everything else is ok so far, lets hope they dont find anything else wrong.
Now for the part that makes me very angry, Romeo was hit by the neighbours across the road, who run a business from home(probably illegal too we suspect) so there are cars coming and going all the time, apart from that it is not a busy road at all.
This is what makes my blood boil, the neigbours down the end of the road heard Romeo scream when he was hit, so obviously those who hit him did too, and they just left him and went on with their business, he dragged himself into the garage, where his owners immediately took him to the vet.can you just imagine it, brings tears to my eyes.
And also i have heard they suspect they mistreat their dog, the neighbours are getting together to do something about it, as the dog barks all the time, they have been seen hitting it with a stick, and i believe its left out in the elements, no wonder the poor thing barks all the time,.
Romeo's owners are going to c them about what happened, i have advised them to call the S.P.C.A, i believe the city council have been out about the dog barking, and done nothing, but it seems its time for further action for sure.
Some people just make me sooooo. damn mad .
    :( :(
ok that really upset me now when I read that Romeo screamed! I mean of course he did, he got hit by a car, but omg I just can picture it in my mind and it is as bad as if i had seen it! that poor sweet kitten! HOW can the s.o.b's ignore that? no humanity at all! I don't know how anyone could NOT, go over there and try to help the little sweetie! how long was he laying there?
if they are running an illegal business than no wonder theres cars coming and going all the time. you can bet they aren't there for the tupperware! I would report them too but be careful of those types of people.
poor little guy, one surgery and then another, that's alot of
anethesia! and then he will be confined, for 6 weeks, oh thats is so sad, but at least he is alive.
I wish someone could get a pic of the b******* hiting the poor pup with a stick! I hope they rot in jail, in hell!
There is such a thing called Karma. They will eventually get what they deserve. Sending more prayers for Romeo. We have a long weekend up here and I won't be able to check in until next Wednesday (don't have a computer at home) so I'll pray really really hard that I see some good news next week.
We will pray twice as hard on behalf of Slick who can't be here this weekend for a speedy recovery for Romeo!!!!!! Give him a soft little pet from us in Cinti.
I agree with Slick 100%!!!Quote:

I would definitely report these bastards. As far as Romeo is concerned, I'd fight returning Romeo with every fiber of my being. This poor cat has been through enough pain and suffering to last a lifetime. He should be placed in a home where they can love and nurture him.
I too hope they rot in hell.
Well folks i wish i had better news , but Romeo is critical, he took a turn for the worse today, it appears he may have a hole in his bladder, they are hoping it will repair itself, but he is very weak, he is in an incubator with an electric blanket, but he does not seem very warm, not a good sign, he is being catherized and has a drip to give him all the fluids he needs, he may need another operation yet they are not sure, the vet said it could go either way in the next two days, so please everyone pray as hard as you can , this little fella needs its.
One thing i must put you straight on Romeo does not belong to the people who have the dog or who ran over him, he is in a very loving home, with owners who adore him, as you can imagine they would not spend over 650 dollars on him if they did not love him .
Also i have sinced learned it was a woman over the road, she heard Romeo but saw him take off and assumed he just got a fright, well i find that hard to believe really, and if it were me i would have gone over and checked, however she was very upset and in tears and rang twice to say how bad she felt about it, and also offered to pay for his treatment, of course we will c if that ever eventuates, about their dog, well i dont know what the real story is there, but i am sure there is some truth in it,
I saw photos of Romeo today, he is a real little sweetie, a tabby kitty, my heart aches just looking at how cute he is, i am hoping with all my heart he makes it,
I was not able to visit him today at the vets, but his owners saw him twice today and said he was looking bad, it was very upsetting for them, and i dont think i could have handled seeing the little guy for the first time like that.
You are all such great people on here, and i know how much you all care, thank everyone, it means a lot to me and Romeos owners too. I will keep you all posted as i hear anything ok.
How awful! There are so many stories like that of people who just have no hearts! How could you not even check if the poor little darling is alright?
I am going to be praying for little Romeo. My Mum's boyfriend's Burmese furrbaby has a message for Romeo:
"Hii Romeeo, my nem is Chakra, and I 2 was hitt by a big scarey car. I now hav just 3 legs, but I am very hapy. I hopes you get better reel soon, and return 2 your loving humans. Lotsa hedbumpies. Chakra."
THIS IS JUST TERRIBLE. HE JUST HAS TO PULL THRU. i WOULD HATE TO SEE HIM IN PAIN, IF HE IS NOT GOING TO MAKE IT THEY SHOULD NOT MAKE HIM ENDURE ANY MORE PAIN, BUT, WHO CAN DO THAT? YOU HAVE TO TRY EVERY THING.i AM SO SAD TO HEAR THIS, i WILL KEEP PRAYING THAT LITTLE rOMEO MAKES IT, i DON'T EVEN KNOW THE CAT, OR KNOW WHAT HE LOOKS LIKE, BUT i JUST COULD CRY. PLEASE RECOVER, PULL THRU THIS ROMEO, SWEETHEART
sorry for the capital letters, this is the third time Cassie has walked across the keyboard and done that to me tonight. and I am too tired to re-type it.
please get well Romeo!
