Great progress Kimmy!!
You also said he has spots on HIS nose, just like Eli. That along with the vet saying he's 6 months old (same age as Eli) leads me to believe they are brothers. How about naming him Ethan???

Making progress. I picked up the Feliway difuser on Sunday and plugged in it. Zam was under the bed with Little Boy once and he wasnt' growling.... however this morning was a different story. Only two tussels and Zam still runs away.
It takes me awhile to fish him out from under the bed, but once I do, he'll let me hold him for a short while and purr.
Made a BIG progress this morning at 6 a.m. I think he was sleeping at the foot of my bed. I woke up to something pouncing on my feet and found a curiously warm spot where I think a little body was laying. He was behind the standee and he allowed me to pick him up and I set him down by his food bowl. Instead of eating he ran into the cat carrier but let me pet him while he was in there.
He slowly came out, while giving me headbumpies to my hand and then ate some kitten crunchies. :)
I have the camera. I will be taking pics tonight. :D
(or else Donna will come after me. lol! ;) )
I can't wait to see pictures!! :D
He sure is making progress....that is wonderful. Do you think he could be Eli's brother? That is so neat!!
AWWWWWW
how did I miss this!!
AWWW I have already replied to the threads with the movies! Little Boy is soooooo pretty!!! :D :D :D
I put pictures and movies under Cat General. :)
Zam wanted in at 6 a.m. Little Boy was crying and she started meowing back... of course as soon as I let her in he started growling... but no fights.
Zam was under the bed when I left for work and refused to come out and so, I let her stay. They were on opposite sides of the bed.... no growling.... so I bit my lip and left them be.
Hopefully there will be no bloodshed when I get home.
Congrats!!! What great progress. You should be very proud of yourself!!
:D
Yea~! Good for you!!!
I saw his pics in Cat General and he is gorgeous!
I'm beginning to think he'll never come out from under the bed on his own. :( *sighs*
I left the door open so Zam and Kia could wander in and out as they please. No fights, just a lot of growling as usual from Little Boy and one scuffle early this morning.
I am so glad that Little Boy realizes what a great home that he could have , and what wonderful friends Kia and Kiam could be! Bless you for helping!:D :D :D :D :D :D :D
Hi there, I have been following the sweet story of Little Boy...just wondering, though, what is a Feliway difuser?
Is this something I need to know about since I am owned by three cats over here in Montreal, Canada???
Regards from Deborah and keep on helping cats in need.:) :) :)
Feliway either comes as a spray or as a plug in. (I call it a difuser)
A bottle of Feliway screws into what looks like a plug in air freshener.
That's what I have. :)
Feliway helps calm cats in stressful situations and prevents spraying.
I think you would only need it if your three cats are constantly fighting. My parents have 5 cats in their house and don't need to use Feliway because they all get along.

Things are still slowly but surely improving! :D
Last night I was able to coax him out from under the bed (with a bowl of wet food) instead of moving the bed and having to fish him out.
I picked him up and carried him into the bathroom and set him down. Instead of going into that cat carrier, he sat there and looked at me like.. FOOD! GIVE ME THE FOOD! ;)
So I did. And he ate outside the cat carrier, allowing me to pet him. He flinched a few times shyly if I moved too suddenly or if there was a noise.
Afterwards he ate some kitten crunchies, drank water, and used the litter box all while I sat there. He was VERY playful, pouncing at my hands and eye lashes. At times he'd go inside the cat carrier and peek his head out. After a few strokes, he'd come out and circle around, nudge my hand, show his belly, all the while purring up a storm.
I think the Feliway is working.... just not in the way I expected. I was hoping it'd make him more accepting to Zam & Kia. He still growls at them, but is getting over his shyness of me. Of course, I don't mind that at all. :) I'm winning the battle a little bit at a time. :)
Slow and steady improvement... that's great! :D
That`s great!!!:)
