My total: 4 present cats, 1 past cat, 2 foster cats, and 1 stray, I have only had 8 cats in my life.
I would not even guess the number my fiancee has had in her life. She used to foster cats before I came along. I would guess at least 100 cats.

My very first cat was a white and brown one named Lady. She was eaten by coyotes  :(
My second cat was an old dark grey cat named Roxy. She died of old age.
Then I got Sara, who I still have. :D
I then got Ditto, who never came home one day :(
Spud got partially run over with a car, my friend saw him, and she cried for hours because she knew the driver :( Her mom said that he just got up and ran away, no blood or anything. I searched for days but never found him :(

I have had a total of four cats. My first cat Candy ran away when she was about a year old. Never came back. My father thinks someone started feeding her at their house and she stayed with them. Our second cat was Sandy. We got Sandy when I was four years old. He died in 1996. We think he ate something. Now I have Hayley and Mandy bring the total to four.

In total including Nakita, 5 cats.
Two were inside only cats and 3 were ferals that I looked after outside until I found them homes!

Okay, let's see if I can name them all:
There was BooBoo...she was a stray kitty at my mom's apartment complex that we fed. I'm not sure what happened to her, I was very young at the time.
Then, Yoda (named for his huge ears), a yellow DSH, he is still alive and well at the age of 18! Also my mom's.
Then I got my Twinkle, my very own cat that I had to take care of myself. He was a Long Haired gray cat. I think he was a Maine Coon Mix. My dad got him from the Animal Shelter. He ended up having kidney problems at the age of 7 and we had to have him put to sleep...I was devestated!
Jasmine was a gray and white tiger striped kitty. She was a pregnant stray that my mom took in. She gave birth to 4 kittens: Willie, Sammy, Daisy and Callie. Jasmine got hit by a plow in the blizzard of '96.
Of those kittens, I got Callie. She was a short-haired calico. She lived to be only a year old. The vet never new what was wrong w/ her.
And then came Ali. Ali is very much alive and well at 10 years of age.
Sasha was a long-haired tuxedo female. She was one of five kittens born to a barn cat that belonged to someone my mom knew. Sasha was hit by a car about a year ago (this is why my kitties are strictly indoor cats!) and had internal injuries...she had to be put to sleep. She was one of my parents cats.
And Gabby. She got her name because she likes to talk. She is a short-haired tuxedo kitty. She was rescued by someone that I worked w/ that couldn't keep her. She came to them a scrawny 8 pounder w/ scratches all over her little face and now weighes in a wopping 20 pounds!
Shame on me! I almost forgot Jack (bad mommy!) Jack is a DSH...the vet thinks that he is part Siamese, but I also think that he has some Russian Blue in him too.
All of these kitties, although not all mine, hold/have held a very special place in my heart!

Growing up our first cat was Sable. He was 15 when he passed.
Next there was Nike and he was about 6 when he passed.
Now there is Reebok, Converse, Chance, Scooter, and Onneka.
Oldest to youngest respectively. Reebok and Converse are brothers from the same litter.
I moved into my own place and adopted Kia (my dog) and recently Zam, a calico cat.
I visit my parents (and cats ;) ) about once a week. :D
