Yippee.... I'm so excited!!!!! Lots of pictures PLEASE!!!!!:D ;)
Way to go. I'm so happy for all of you. Don't worry Mikah, you've got a wonderful forever home now. And of course, we want to see all sorts of pictures. Thanks in advance.
Jen, for a minute I thought there was one smilie for each one of Kelly's kitties but then I counted them and there are ten. Kelly, congratulations on your latest addition. They say 7 is a lucky number! We look forward to seeing more pictures and getting to know MikahQuote:

Girl, you are going to have to get a bigger place, and soon!!! :) Congratulations on the newest addition!!! Something told me that it wouldn't be fostering that you were doing with him. :p
YEAH YEAH YEAH!!!
I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!
And I LOVE THE NAME!!
who was the smart person who suggested it?
;) :p
I just knew there was enough room on your signature line for another pic - and I'm so happy it's going to be Mikah's!!!
Congratulations to you and the wonderful David!!! :D
Kelly, I'm so happy and excited for you!!!:D :D I'm sure he'll fit right in with the others. I have a feeling that he and Basil will become best playmate buddies. :) Please keep us updated and please post some pictures when you're able to. :)
Yes, I thought that too, Pam.... :)
Staci, Um...lets see, who came up with that name?? I think it was this really sweet person I chat with. ;) Thank you!! :) And guess who came up with his middle name? (you are going to laugh when you hear it)...auntie Naomi.... Micah Jacob!
Well, he's still very scared, so no pictures yet. But...I'll gladly tell everyone what happened today.
We got to the shelter and I of course, went straight to Mike's cage. He was behind the ropes where 'regular' people aren't able to go, but was playing and getting petted by one of the employees. They let me back there and I sat in the place of the girl and pet and played with him for over an hour. He was SO different from last weekend!! Know what they said? It was cause of what we did last week! Isn't that sweet??? :)
Anyway, David and I discussed it, I promised him, God and the shelter that it would be our last kitty! So, now I really can't get more, no lying to God! ;)
So, off we went to play with the pups and other kitties and then at about 2:00, adopted Micah.
He was really good in the car until we got 5 minutes from home. He got out of his carrier (David had it open so he could see) and got UNDER my feet while I was driving.  But, we pulled over and David held him real close and tight and he was fine. Turned out, he had a small accident in his cardboard carrier.
We got him home and put him in our bedroom and he hid under the bed. We left him alone for about an hour and saw that he did use the litter box a few times, he still is having some
'poop' issues. But, he's healthy.
We went out tonight and came back to him laying luxurously on our down comforter on our bed. He stayed for about 30 seconds and dove under the bed again. We went into the living room for a few minutes and David went to bed and said he was on the bed again.
Poor little guy, he's so scared. But, I think it'll work out. :)
I promise to share pictures as soon as he's out long enough for them. ;)
So wonderful!! Congratulations!!
Chris
Welcome Mike we love you:D :D :D
And David we love you too;) ;) ;)
What great news!!!!
Kelly, stay relaxed about the new cat hiding. I know, having just gone through the process, that it is stressful to see him hide all the time. He will come out. I know you know that.
The "stool issue" may be addressed by feeding him a different diet. You might want to ask you vet for some advice on that.
Welcome dear Micah. You have a wonderful new Mom and Dad and lots of fuzzy brothers and sisters!

I think if you want Micah to bond with Basil you should introduce him to Basie first. Just the two of them. I hope they are the best of buddies.:)
It has taken from a month to six months to get the new cats adapted to the incumbent Cats , but once it happens it is Glorious! Congatulations of giving Mikah Cat a GREAT NEW HOME!::D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
YAYAYAYAY!
Congrats!
The best decision you could have made!
Aby's are wonderful kitty's!
Micah will be a little scared at first but just be patient with him. They love affection!

Thanks very much :D :D
Congrats on getting Micah.
I knew you would persuade your husband.:D :D
