Good luck Kelly. I'll log back in later today to see if you've been able to get to your computer - will be thinking of you today {{{hugs}}}
I figgered by now she should be awake! Maybe David is letting her sleep....and he will post for us? Let us know! We thought of you all day long....
Good Luck and hugs
Kelly, been thinking of you. Hope it all went ok and you are recovering well.
Love & hugs
Chris
Kelly, I'm so glad you're probably done with it by now. I have to leave now but I'm still thinking of you and I'll be back in tonight to check on you.
Chin up :)
Has anyone heard how Kelly is doing yet?
I hope everything went ok!
Oh my gosh! I'm grinning from ear to ear! You guys are WONDERFUL friends, I am blessed to know you all.
It went very well! I got there with David and my parents at 11:45 a.m. and waited for maybe five minutes. My nurse came and got me and we signed papers and talked about the procedure and how I was feeling. She assured me it was going to be very easy and that I wouldn't feel a thing.
I put on my cute outfit and she took me to my bed and hooked me up to the machines. My heart monitor kept going off cause my heart beat was elevated due to nervousness. She gave me an IV and hooked me up to the fluids. (I "drank" 800 cc)
The anesthesiologist came in and we talked. He gave me some pain meds and then they wheeled me to the room. I started shivering and chattering my teeth (I do that when I'm nervous, I guess). My doctor put his hand on my forehead and told me everything was going to be OK. They were all so nice to me, that helped so much.
They had me swallow some liquid that would make any bubbles in my tummy go away and something to numb my throat. Then they gave me one of those oxygen things in my nose. They had me lay on my side and my doctor put this plastic thing in my mouth so I wouldn't bite my tongue. :) Then....they turned out the light and I guess the anesthesiologist must have been giving me drugs, cause that's the last thing I remember. :D
I woke up in the first room I was in and felt really good. So relaxed and comfy. The doctor came in and brought my family in to discuss what he saw. I don't remember much, but the nurse told me later that it didn't look scary....that's good news.
I drank my apple juice and got to go home! We went out for soup and then came home for a nap. Now, I'm sitting here with Noah and OLIVER (YAY!!!!) and yacking online.
I find out the results of the biopsys he took next week.
I can't even tell you how glad I am this is all over and how easy it really was. You all have been so helpful to me, all the prayers were answered....by far.
Thanks so much!!
Love, Kelly
Kelly, I'm sorry I'm late but I'm so glad to hear that everything went well. :) I sure hope that you receive some good news about your results. Prayers are on the way.
I'm so glad that it's over, Kelly, and you came through like a champ!! There are times that general anesthesia is a blessing and I'm sure it was for you, yesterday! We're hoping for good results from the biopsy!! :) But you need answers and I hope you will get them and start feeling better!!
Kelly, I am glad that everything went so well for you (drugs can be a good thing...) I hope that the tests results will provide you some answers. Keep well.
