I'm glad that Mandy was able to eat and drink a bit.
I had to isolate Mystery too...vet is worried our little 6 week old Asia could get sick.
Mystery just ate and drank for me...I was so happy. He sat up for a bit too. Mystery never made a peep in the truck on the way to the vet...he was just too tired and weak.

Mandy seems to be a little better this morning. She played for a little and had a nice long drink and ate. She has not had a bowel movement since yeasterday morning. I am waiting for the vet office to open and see what their opinion is on this. She is walking a little better today as well so hopefully that means her leg is getting better. I think she still has a little bit of a fever but she don't feel as warm as yeasterday. I guess we will find out this evening. I'm still worried about her. I hate to see her sick. Hayley, my husband and I are praying for a speedy recovery. I'm really glad you guys are as well. Thank you so much.

I'm glad to hear that Mandy had a better morning too.
Mystery was given an enema at the vets office yesterday. He had gotten too dehydrated to pass his stool.
They also had me buy some of the flavorless benefiber/metamucel and mix it with some canned food. I have been adding a bit of water to the canned food too. That way he gets more fluids into his system.
Did they give Mandy and injections of fluids yesterday? Mystery had to have 2 subcutaneous injections due to being so dehydrated.
Continued prayers for Mandy.

Mandy did not require an injections of fluids. She was not dehydrated. The vet told me to make sure she was getting plenty of water and if she was not drinking from her bowl I was to give her water through a syringe. To prevent her from becoming dehydrated. She had a nice long drink this morning and I am leaving work in a little while to go home and check on her. She don't like taking her meds but we are able to get them down.
-
Mystery wasn't too thrilled about his meds either...but he let me give them to him.
Last night I held Mystery's head in one hand and poured a little bit of water at a time from a spoon into the side of his mouth. Thought about a syringe after! I was going to use a syringe today if need be...but I don't think I will have to go that route now.

I'm so sorry to hear about poor little Mandy. Hopefully she continues to improve and she's all better soon. It's so sweet that Hayley misses her little sister....awww...:)
And for both you and Anakins Mom - it's a good sign when they start fighting the pill giving. That means they are feeling much better and are able to put up a fuss, whereas when they aren't feeling well, they're much more likely to be complacent and just let you do whatever you want with them, including shoving pills down their throats. :)
Here's hoping they both continue to improve. :)

Just got back to work after spending some time with my little sick angel. She is doing a lot better. I feel a lot better now as well. My boss let me take a longer lunch so I could go home and check on her. Hayley was very excited to see me coming home at lunch time. She was purring mad! I can't wait to see the two of them playing with each other again. I guess I will see what the vet says about that at 5:45 today when Mandy gets her temp. checked again.

Great news!!!! What a nice boss, too! ;)
