Dog Rescue Crisis in Indiana
There is desperate need in Cass County Indiana at the Humane Shelter. They have arrested a man that had almost 50 dogs that are being abused. They look starved on the email I received and they said that some have heartworm and almost all of them have mange. Most will be at the shelter until at least Feb 27,2001 when the moron owner goes to trial. They are in need of cash and supplies as far as I can tell.
If you're interested in helping I have the girl's name and email address for further information. It is:
Cami and the email is [email protected]
That was my first post on Dec 1, 2000 at 8:33 am in Dog Rescue and I started the thread
Ok, this is wierd....I did the search for my first post and discovered, that in all actuality, I have been here since 6/26/2000 at 8:49am as Kendall2 and the alterego has 38 posts! lol

Hi,
My husband and I have 4 dogs, 2 full breeds and 2 mixed. Our 2 full breeds came from our local shelter. We have a 10 month old blue merle Great Dane whose name is Jasmine, a 2-4 year old Australian Sheperd named Shawna, a 2 year old 3/4 Australian 1/4 German Sheperd named Sox, and a 1.5 year old 1/2 Husky 1/2 Pitbull (another maligned breed). I really have no preference between full and mixed breeds. I have read however, that mixed breeds tend to be healthier. I am another person who feels that Rotties and Dobies have gotten a raw deal. They are only mean if they are trained that way...just like the pits. For the most part they are loving devoted part of the family.
My first post was a reply to Chase (dotd) 1-24-2001) Although I had been lurking for a while deciding if I wanted to join in .
All I remember is that is was in response to a pet of the day that was a bunny.:D
My first post was THE first post - ah, the benefits of being the founders! Logan already linked to it in her post earlier in this thread, the Dogs Who Lean thread!
It won't let me find myfirst post under my user name, it says no matches were found.
You don't have to do a serach, you can click on your won prfile, say "Find all posts by this user," then scroll to the bottom of the "Last" page.
Which is what I did to find your first post, which is here
haha that post is so funny. It says she placed 6 times, in the PET class lol! She is not show quality by any means, but a great girl with a sweet temperament. I tried to get some new pics of the kitties yesterday but couldn't. I wish I rescued Bengals still, but with my rattery now I am very busy. *sigh* Of course I wouldn't turn one down though, hehe.
ah how sad it is for me t read about my pets that have passed on to rainbow bridge. My poor Peanut and my two parakeets. :( Funny how names change too.....I thought for sure Speedy was going to stray Guiness, but well, he reminded me so muchof my old Speedy and I just had to keep him with Speedy. I guess I never posted an introduction..but I am still searching.
This is so cool! I can go back and get old pics that have been erased accidently and I never thought I could ever get them back until now! God bless PT!:D

My first post was about my kitty Daisy (RB) who had vaccine-induced sarcoma. In honor of her memory, I want to remind all cat owners to be sure and discuss the issue of vaccines with their vet. The issue may not be the actual vaccine, but the placement of the injection!
We sure have had a lot of our fur friends go to the bridge since I joined in 2000 - but we have also had so many wonderful new pets join our group! Hurray for old and new!
I started posting when we went throught that dreadful episode of Malone's eating a ton of rocks!! I was soooooo scared!! This was my first post:

Strange diet
I am at my wit's end, and I am hoping that somebody out there can help me. We have a four month old yellow puppy whom we love most dearly! Unfortunately he has this obsession with ROCKS! Unless you supervise him 110% of the time, he is bound and determined to eat as many as he possibly can. He was in puppy day care last week, and ended up eating about 30 of them,--X-rays show that he has only one left in him. Is this something he will grow out of (SOON!), or is there some way to cure him of this awful habit? I am so afraid that next time it will be much worse and we can't afford many more vet bills like the ones we had this past week. Any advice would be helpful, and thank you so much for taking the time to respond!!
