The prayers DID really help !! hurray for Cody !!
Woohoo!!! That's great news!!! Give him steak, give him cake, give him whatever the dear boy wants!!!!
Yeah, they know where those pills are hidden. It's hard to outsmart these guys. You might fool them once, but not twice!! Good luck, Cody and keep getting better!
That is great news. I am so glad that Cody is feeling better!
You know we are worried about Cody too, so you don't have to do all the worrying. Good to know he seems somewhat better and made some stinkies for you. As far as the peanut butter refusal, yah, he's got your number. Try some soft cheese that you cn make a cheese ball with, and whatever you do, don't let him see you near the pill bottle when you are preparing it.
Dear Karen:
I only saw this post just now. I'm so glad you had better news about Cody boy by the time I got to read about his problems. It's alright to spoil him more than usual; we know how much you love him, and so do we. Prayers and possitive thoughs are going your way from us.

Also, wash your hands before you hand him the pill hidden in whatever. A nice flowered hand wash will do. :DWith Killian, he can smell Amoxicillin from 100 miles away (even the residue)!!!!! :eek:Quote:

Wonderful news! Of course once I saw the prayer pups on the job, I knew God was giving special attention to this case!! Those two seem to have the direct line straight to the head boss!!! :D Hope you are feeling much relieved Karen!

Karen,
I'm happy to hear that Cody's acting more like himself again.
You both will stay in my thoughts & prayers. Kiss the big guy
for me please. Hope Cody continues to feel better & his mom
can get some rest. God bless you both. Hugs from Liz & Moki.
Oh Karen and Dear Cody!!!
Sorry, I'm a little late to this thread!!!!!
But you are both in my thoughts,Prayers of hope
and my prayers of thanks!!!!!!
Thank God Cody is feeling better!!!!!!!!:) :D :) :D :) :D
Glad to hear Cody is feeling a little better! I also know how it is when the pb doesn't work any more, just have to keep trying different things, keep it interesting:)
You will both continue to be in our prayers.
Thanks AGAIN everybody!! My sweet pumpkin still isn't himself but he's eating and doing his "duty". And yay! He took his PB pills last night! I had to LOL..Sue.. that's SO true.. I have to hide the bottle of pills when I roll them but I swear he smells them from miles away!! Do the antibiotics make them drink a lot?? And yes! I actually did think of washing my hands.. sometimes my brain works to try to out-smart him! Somebody made a comment to me yesterday, (since they grew up with a total of 5 dogs so they're experts)that this episode means Cody is on his way downhill esp; because he's 11 y.o.!  I had to put my hands behind my back to keep from knocking them silly! I'm glad the weekend is here so I can spend more time with him. my mom thinks he's so used to me being home more now that he's "pining" away for me!! I'm also saying prayers and sending hugs and kisses to all your ill sweethearts too. Just cause Cody is ill, I still have you all in my heart!!!!
Karen, the person who told you he is on the way downhill knows nothing!!!!! This is probably just an episode that has to be dealt with. When my Great Pyr was @ 9-10 yrs. old, I was told that she would not be with me much longer. Hah! She lived to 12 1/2!!!! So don't listen to those who think they know everything! Look at Killian and his struggles. He's still hanging in there! So don't let a jerk like that tell you anything!
Does the vet have any more ideas on what caused poor Cody's episode? Hang in there! Sometimes it takes a while to recoup. If you could just find out what caused the episode, then you can fight it. Good luck and give yourself and Cody a big hug from us!!
A friend from work just told me her kitty had a stroke 2 years ago, similar to Cody's actions, and it took about 2 months before he was back to normal, alto he still walks with his to the side a little. I'm going to call the vet this weekend so I can bring in a urine sample, the one test they didn't do. I'm still watching his every move. I gave him one of my headlocks last night and kissed him furiously all over his eyes and cheeks and begged him to tell me what was wrong, and he gave me the wettiest, slurpest kiss!! AW! boo, hoo, Sob, sob... I thought I was going to have another "Big One"! My heart was beating sooo fast!! Sue.. do the antibiotics make Killi drink a lot??
