Went to have my stitches out this morning, but I still have them in. When I got them on the 16th, the nurse said to come back in 7 - 10 days to have them removed. Okay - but the one side of the laceration didn't look like it was healed enough to have them removed - but what the heck do I know - right??? - I'm just the patient. So the nurse on duty today looked at it and said - "oh no - we always leave stitches in the hand in longer - usually for 2 weeks". Didn't the nurse that stitched me get that memo???? I guess not - since now I have to go back in on Friday - and hope they're ready to come out then. Sheeeeshhhhh.........
For years, I have worn a gold guardian angel coin pendant - I never take it off unless I have to for an x-ay or if I'm in the hospital. Problem is, I do believe that she has gone to sleep after all these years, or she simply gave up on me and chalked me up as a lost cause. :(
