Chris - I think if you meet Ebby's basic needs, i.e. treats, toys and good food....she will be fine and will relax around you. Isn't that about the same for men? Hehehehehehe! Oh, I forgot one thing....but this is a FAMILY site.

Ebony , you are a fantastic mirror-cat :D :D
Great photos: she has a small tuxedo shirt spot doesn't she?
So beautiful.
It's great to hear that your patience pays out. How long do you have her now? A week or so. Regarding that she' s making a good progress!
Yay! I got purrs today:) :) :)
Thanks everyone:) :)
Barbara, I have had her for nearly 4and a half days.:)
Petting and purring now! That's great! Ebby owns you now.;)
O Chris! She is Precouse! You have a very pretty kitty friend! O how adorable! She is so pretty! Looks like you have a wonderful new friend! I'm so happy for you and Bob!

Chris the pics of Ebony are great and such a great name for her. i used to have a bunny called Ebony but she died earlier this year at only 6 months old. She was mostly white though. Anyway such great pics, is she your cat?
Wow, she's so beautiful, and so lucky to have a loving, patient momma like you! I went through this when I inherited my boy kitty; he took a while to warm up to his new family, but it was worth the wait, to be sure! {{{Hugs}}} to you both!
Chris,
Ebby is such a pretty girl! And from what you've said, it sounds like she's well on her way to loving you and getting settled into her forever home. That's great news!
She is such a cutie...and I love how she is attracted to mirrors. Too cute! :)
Thanks everyone :)
She stayed out of her hidey hole this morning so I was able to get some more pics, (one is in my sig and I plan to post the 4 others in a new thread later), and some more purrs.
When I went back to sit with her this afternoon she was back in her hidyhole, I sat in there doing puzzles and trying to tempt her out every now and again but she stayed put. After about an hour I thought that as she was staying there I would bring Bob up to see her, on the leash of course. Brought Bob in but he didn`t even see her in her hiding place, didn`t smell her out either, call himself a retriever! lol. Maybe it is just as well, at least Ebby saw him and knows there is a big hairy monster lurking about! Don`t think shes very pleased with me though, when I took her the meaty meal she did come out for it but moved away when I went to her, "Traitor" she said. lol :)
Heather, yes she is mine, I got her from the Cat Protection shelter here in Wrexham last Wednesday.
Chris
great new picture in your signature. And very funny about BoB.....LOL....hunting dog, indeed! HEE HEE
