I hope Gaylord's health continues to improve. Hugs to all! Way to go Sue!!!
Gaylord sounds like a wonderful dog. I hope all his test come back negitive. I think Gaylord was sent to you to help Killian feel better. And it seems to be working. Give Gaylord and Killian and Shiloh a big, huge hug from me
Big hugs to that furangel, Gaylord. He sounds amazing.
You and your fur family have been on mind all holiday long Sue and I am thrilled to read that everyone is getting along fine. Gaylord sounds like such a lovable soul. Sounds like he has had a rough life so far and I think things are starting to look up for. I will keep him in my thoughts and hope with all my might that he doesn't have HD.
Glad to hear things are going well! Can't wait to see the pics :)
This poor baby. What else is going to happen to him. He is just a love, though.
Friday we went to the vet to have his drain removed from the tumor. It wasn't visible, so the vet cut one (or two) sutures to see if it was pushed inside the incision. This morning, I woke up to find his tumor incision wide open!! I took him to the Emergency Vet to restitch him. She said she wanted to clean out the incision, too. So the poor baby had to be put under and restitched again. He is really sewed up and now has to wear an E-collar. His stomach looks terrible and I know he is uncomfortable because he keeps looking for a spot to relax in. I can't keep him in his cage because he doesn't fit with his collar, so I am baby-gated off in the family room with him. Shiloh is whining because she can't get in here. He won't sit still and I am directing him from running into things. I am exhausted!
Poor Sue and poor Gaylord. You truly are his guardian angel. He just has to pull through with all the love and support you are giving him. Thank you for what you're doing.
Oh Sue, you are getting broken in as a foster parent real fast. I'm sure Gaylord appreciates all the loving care he is getting. He did land in the right house alright. What a plus that he is *encouraging* Killian to eat. I thought there was a possibility that might happen. Let's hope and pray that this will be the end of Gaylord's medical problems.
Sue, I am so sorry to hear about the hard times you and Gaylord are having to go through. I am glad that he is with you during these rough times, though, because I know you will do whatever you can to make him comfortable and get him feeling better.
You're doing a great thing, Sue! Keep up the good work!
Poor Sue, poor Gaylord!!:( I'm sorry to hear about Gaylord's setback. Thank you so much for being there for him. I can't adequately express how in awe I am of your compassion and dedication. I hope the resuturing and collar help him to heal asap. He sounds like such a love. Please give him a big kiss from all of us. Loving prayers and get well wishes from Sandra, Cody and Star.
Well, we had a pretty decent night. Since I've been sleeping with Gaylord in the family room since day one, I was glad that after his extreme up and downing, he finally calmed down and slept. He is getting better with the e-collar, but he still needs to be followed around. Almost bumped into the tree in the yard  ! He eats very well, well he scarfs down his food is what he does. He gets some of Killi's food, so Killi also scarfs down his food. Killi is eating well now, too! LOL Shiloh wants to be with Gaylord, but I can't let her accidently bump him. I have to put warm compresses on him a few times a day, too. Again, he is such a beauty. Everyone at the ER vet ohhh and ahhhh'd. Except that he is sooooo skinny.
Haven't heard anything bad about the tumor yet. If he needs hip x-rays, I will send him up North to have them done because they do them for the rescue very reasonably. Good. We won't worry about that yet, until he completely recovers from the tumor and neutering surgeries. Poor boy.
I am so glad you are taking such good care of him. What a shame that he has to go through all this, though. He sounds absolutely amazing...poor guy. I will hope that he will be doing great after all this wonderful, loving care he is getting. He is in the perfect home now.
How long is he going to be fostered for? Have they any idea? Is it possible that he's not going to get adopted out, but stay with you?
Many prayers that Gaylord heals fast and that his tests come back negative. *hugs*
And what wonderful news that Killi is eating again! :D
You're all angels. :)
