Hi Pet Talk, Jack here! Foster Meowmie just took me out for playtime, but then I started to poop so I got put back with no pictures taken. Boo. She says she'll come get me when the stinky fades a bit.
I ate two bowls of food today! Foster meowmie says I feel like I gained half a pound!

Well, today I had two important lessons, and foster meowmie says I learned both of them very well.
The first lesson was laps. The second lesson was toys. Foster Meowmie says she put these out of order as I should have gotten tired from playing BEFORE the lesson about laps. I think it was OK though. I'm still in quarantine so I was lonely all day until she got home.
Laps are pretty fun, I suppose. You get lots of ear rubs on them.

But it's not fun when you want to go play with the other kitties you can HEAR in the next room but you can't get down!

PLEASE let me down? Please??

Okay, I'll relax for a little bit...

Oh hey, fingers are cool toys too!

Yep, laps are A-OK!

After lap time we went into the bathroom to play with Jasper again. I pounced on his tail a lot and discovered that his feet are tasty too!! He got so tired of me nibbling his toes that he went and hid behind foster meowmie and I chased him. Then he pinned me down and licked me all over. I think doggies are actually maybe mom-cats who smell funny. Once though, he stepped on my toes. OW! So I hissed at him to remind him that you shouldn't step on a pirate's toes!
That was also where I learned about toys. Toys are FUN! Now I'm back in the lap and playing with fingers and buttons and clothing wrinkles, and pencils and strings and stuff. Foster meowmie says later I'll have to learn not to chew fingers but just for today since I'm learning to play she'll ignore it.

Oh, yes, Cap'n Jack, laps and toys are both VERY important lessons! And thanks for sharing pictures, foster-mommy!
-
Great pictures. He sure is adorable and Jasper sure is a good dog.:)
-
Big AAAWWWW here- what a cutie pie you are Captain Jack:)
And Jasper is a wonderful doggy friend for you. Soon you will be able to play with the other kitties as well, little boy:)

His eye is looking a lot better. He is sooo cute! I love the writing as if Jack is thinking/talking. It fits him perfectly! :D:love::love:
PS How are Juniper and Sedge doing?
-
Juniper and Sedge are great! My sister in law has them for a few days while jack finished up quarantine, and they're in the "we get that we're supposed to poop in the litterbox, but then we dance in it afterward" stage, which makes me glad I don't have them right now. Talk about stinky kittens!! Jack uses his box beautifully, buries everything and does not dance or sit in it afterward, thank goodness!
OK Jack here taking back the keyboard....today is NOT so good! Foster meowmie came home with this stinky tube of stuff that she says will kill fleas, and she put the STINK IN MY FUR! Yuckyuckyuck!! I though the bath was for killing fleas?! Whatever. As if that weren't enough, she moved me into a bigger carrier too. *Shudder* This much space is SCARY, I want my safe old carrier back! My doggy has an upset tummy today so foster meowmie says we don't get to play, all he can do is sit next to my new carrier and try to stick his tongue in far enough to get my food.
Enough grumbling, I do like that this new carrier is big enough to play with TOYS! I like to play fetch with foster meowmie - I throw the toy out of the carrier, and she fetches it for me. This is great, I can do this all night!
-
Ahoy, Captain Jack! You are, without a doubt, the cutest pirate I ever did see! Along with doggies, laps, and toys there are still so many things for you to discover. Just be careful though, even though many things you'll find can be loads of fun, others aren't good for kitties. You look so happy and content with your wonderful foster-meowmie. Would you ask her to give you lots of lovies from me?
And please come back to visit us again very soon?

Quick update: Jack's mom has been trapped and spayed! Jack himself is going stir-crazy so I'm trying to get him more out and about time, but he seems to have further injured his eye running around tonight, so I'm nervous about giving him too much leeway to be wild and reckless.
-
So adorable! Love the pics with the doggie. :)
-
This is great news about his mom.:) I'm sorry to hear that he injured his eye.:( I know how hard it is to keep kittens cooped up for a while. My three were ready to be let loose after the first day that I had them but luckily they had each other to help to keep them entertained. I hope his eye heals up quickly.

Hellooo again mateys! I was finally released from prison...er...quarantine a few days ago, and life has improved dramatically! There are three other cats here! Two of them are really nice and fun to play with, but the third one, the girl, doesn't like me at all! I like the big white one...his tail is VERY pounce-able!
I still have to live in my kennel while foster meowmie is at work, which I think is COMPLETELY unfair! She says it's to protect me in case the other cats get too rough. I say a pirate can take care of himself! The striped one may be ten times my weight, but I am FAST! Once Foster meowmie is home though, I get let out to RUN! I like to hide under the couch and attack unsuspecting cats or ankles that cross my line of sight!
Last night, instead of going back into my kennel after playtime, foster meowmie moved my kennel into the bathroom and left the kennel door open so I wasn't too stir-crazy. That was kind of fun, I made lots of noise thumping around the bathtub and the cabinets.
I have so many things to learn here before I go to my forever home! Foster meowmie is teaching me about not biting fingers. The other kitties are teaching me about playing gently and personal space. The dog is teaching me lots about toys and how to dodge when he decides it's time to roll on the carpet! I'm also learning about cat trees (These are FUN!!), nail trims (these are NOT FUN AT ALL!), crunchy food, how to throw my food bowl when it's empty so it makes crashy noises against the kennel, brushing, TREATS, and other stuff. It's a lot for a kitten to take in!
-
Oh, what a wonderful update, Captain Jack! A kitten has SO much to learn, and you are clearly acing the course!
:love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love:

ADOREABLE!! Captain Jack, you are going to have a great time discovering your world and learning how to do things you didn't know you could do! You are to cute, a fine kitty. I'd love to give you kisses and tummy rubs!
