Oh Wow! Gee the only thing worse than 3 escaping cats is having to round them up in record time to keep a doctor's appointment! That can create some real tense moments! I'm glad you were able to get the little critters. Whenever I have any kind of "episode" in the yard with Bella I always wonder afterwards if my neighbors took note. :D I wonder if anyone caught a glimpse of you dashing through the neighborhood in hot pursuit of NAWTEE Grammy Crackers! Funny now, but a heart stopper at the time I'm sure!

My cats are indoor cats. You can imagine my surprise when I came home one day and the door was wide open and three cats were sitting on the front step just looking around. I scooped them up before they knew what was happening. My husband had answered the door and didn't close it tightly. My male cat, Louis, is completely petrified of outdoors. It is safe to let him sit outside (we supervise) as he keeps his tail touching the door. But, there is nothing scarier than a missing kitty!

My foofy girl Bosun gets out once in a while, but sashays down the sidewalk and lets me catch her. But last summer about 2 AM Keith (my SO) says, "Where's Bosun?" So we start counting heads. He goes outside, and there is this silhouette by our maple tree. He called "Bosun" and she ran right in. She hasn't tried to escape since. I guess she figured "big out" was not all it's cracked up to be.:(

I'm so happy you got them back! My himmies took a little exploring trip last fall when hubby failed to close our door to the deck. These kitties have never been outside, so it is doubtful I would have found them if they had gotten very far. As it happened, they had to stop and sniff the deck first, so I just scooped them up and took them back in. It really scared me!!! We have a screened in porch now where the deck used to be so kitties can enjoy the great outdoors without actually being "out"!
