In tears here, because I know your pain. But I agree: Christmas is a very special time to go to the Bridge. I envision it with an endless evergreen forest, all the trees decorated with stars, birds of every color resting on the branches - and the peace, the very great peace that is there. Beautiful beyond belief is what it must be.

Thank you for you heartfelt comment. These wonderful friends take a piece of our hearts with them when they go. I woke up today with a different feeling. I don't want to be sad anymore. He never gave me a reason to be sad. He only gave me joyful memories. I want to cherish and enjoy those memories and keep loving him without it hurting. I know that's possible because I find myself smiling more when I think of him now. He was a gift, a very special gift, for which I'm very grateful...a gift I will always appreciate and hold in my heart.
I'm very sorry about Rusty.:( He was a gorgeous cat. It's easy to see from your posts he was very loved. He will live in your heart forever.:love:
