BACON????????
*looks over plate of cookies* Hey, look! Here's one that looks just like Orc!!! I'll put that aside for him.
Meanwhile, I'll grab some almond milk and a few of the other cookies.
Time for a DRINK! Barkeep, I'm supplying Champagne for the house! Just finished a 5 (thought it was 4) church choir sing of the Messiah! WHEW! My voice will recover in an hour or so (Soprano, that's why;)). It was great!
I went to a Messiah Sing last night - we don't do the whole things, so it was just 2 1/2 hours, but sing all the good stuff. Maggie, what I do is sing Soprano at the Messiah Sing, and then sing alto in the church choir the next day, so I am using different parts of my voice. If they need me on Soprano at church, I'll sing alto for the Messiah Sing. Otherwise I am pretty much done vocally for a day or so!
But it was wonderful, great fun - I go to the one run by the Masterworks Chorale, and they have an orchestra of volunteer musicians, 4 soloists, and the director conducts the whole audience as the chorus! Since Lady's Human and his crew moved west, we don't have anyone from my family in the bass section, as my older brother had to work, but we had in our family one tenor, two altos, and two sopranos!
Edited to add: And since posting that "Worthy is the Lamb" has been running through my head!
Hey, I just checked in and am very sorry to hear the news.
A toast for Sam.
-------------------
Yes, I probably could make the first drink. The ones that follow would get progressivel harder?
Cookies and drinks for all the patrons.
Sorry, I was feeling a little under the weather for the last week.
Much better now....
Hey the music in here tonight is a bit different than usual is it not? Very festive. Hope your voices recover soon, ladies. Thanks for the glass of champagne, Maggie, that's very festive too!
Karen, after I had posted it did occur to me that I could go back to being a Pillar but it doesn't make much sense without the other descriptions, and Barbara's "Pillar, crumbling" is so much funnier anyway. :D
Thanks for your toast for Sam, Richard. She was partial to the water out of a can of tuna herself. Not sure that that would go with Moff's cookies.
Well, what stone is your area famous for - you could be a "Scottish Xstone Pillar!"
Me, I'd have to be good old New England granite were I a pillar, it's certainly what my last yard grew best, as the neighborhood was built on granite ledge!
My voice is fine, when I vary the parts, it doesn't wear out at all!
Pops head into bar..................hi everyone - just dropped by to say hello - no thanks on a drink or food - gotta run - shopping you know............never get it done when I should.
I will be back so leave some please.
Voice back to normal, thanks; popping in with Gini before hitting the shopping myself. VERY MUCH a procrastinator this year!!
Bartender - drinks for the house on me. I've got some celebratin' to do. Last day of work is Jan 30th.
Whoo Hoo!!!!! I can hardly wait. :)
Whooo hoo! Now that'll be a party!
